Salzburg for Cruise Guests from Linz or Passau: Private Day Tour with Licensed Guide

Bernhard had a last minute conflict but he lined up Peter for us and he was wonderful. He knew the area like the back of his hand. He has so much passion for Salzburg and all the surrounding area. He knows the history and all the sights. He seems to have a secret parking place lined up at all the stops. He took us to a great restaurant for lunch in Salzburg and we had the best table overlooking the street under the shade of a tree. The food was delicious especially the Kaiserschmarrn for dessert. Peter took us to Kehlsteinhaus at the top of the mountain at Berchtesgaden also named the Eagles Nest in WWII. The views were somewhat obscured with clouds but on a clear day it would be glorious. Be sure to go first thing in the morning. By noon the lines were very long. You can't go wrong with Peter as your guide in the Salzburg basin area.

Bernard was wonderful. Since he was born here knew it very well. Great lunch spot!

Due to a last minute emergency, our two day tour was conducted by Peter, a close colleague of Bernhard. Peter was Fantastic; Professional, Collegial, Warm and Welcoming. Peter is very flexible with the itinerary and happy to change plans as the tour progressed. Peter is a wealth of knowledge and happy chat for hours or simply permit the scenery to speak for itself. Peter is simply a fun guy with whom to hang-out. The vehicle was clean, new and well maintained with sufficient space for 4 adults and loads of baggage. I would highly recommend Bernard / Peter for any tour length 1/2day to multiple day.

Bernhard was an amazing guide with very positive energy. He shared so much knowledge and included so many local insights! We really felt taken care of! From the moment he picked us up at our cruise ship, we were learning about the history and highlights of Passau and Salzburg. Excellent tour!
