Hi everyone! My name is Carlos and I live in one of the most beautiful cities in the world, Salzburg. Home of Mozart and the Sound of Music, where culture, history and architecture are surrounded by the majestic Alps and the breathtaking Lake District. I love where I live and I am proud to be a fully licensed driver guide. I have been working as a professional guide since 2001. It all started as a Summer job in the Portuguese island of Madeira where I was born. Guess what? I loved it so much that I'm still doing it today. I've been guiding in Salzburg since 2006. Our tour with Carlos was one of the main highlights of our European trip. His communication picking us up was excellent and his Mercedes van was a very comfortable ride for the day. He tailored our tour exactly for what we were hoping to see with Salzburg, Eagle's Nest, and the surrounding area. We enjoyed getting to know him and learning about the history of the area!
Wow! We loved Carlos! Not only is he amazingly knowledgeable, he's also just a really great guy! He is a lover of history and politics and definitely a fact checker. I don't think we asked him a question that he couldn't answer. He has an easy way of delivering information that makes the history come alive. He was prompt and took great care to try and show us as many things as he could while also keeping us within our tight schedule. He is truly a gentleman and a scholar.

If I was allowed, I would give more than five stars. Carlos was a wonderful guide. Very knowledgeable, very friendly, spoke perfect english. He took us to see everything we wanted to see. He picked us up in Passau and drove us to Salzburg to see everything about the Sound of Music. Carlos got us back to our boat in plenty of time before the boat left. Carlos is one of the best guides I have used with TBL. I can't say enough good things about Carlos. If you want the best guide, hire Carlos.
