Hi. I'm Linda, a tour guide for almost 10 years now. It's a pleasure and a big responsibility to be a kind of an ambassador for your country and show to everyone who wants to visit Albania, get closer to the history, culture, nature, real Albanian everyday life. Saranda and its locals take great pride in their culture and continue to protect it and to introduce it to their visitors. Although the Albanian cuisine has been heavily influenced by the Turkish and Greek cuisine, it has managed to sustain its authenticity and put its own flare to the foreign dishes. Not just nature, cuisine, sea, beaches, but no trip to Saranda would be completely over without having tasted the night life that keeps the city alive until the morning hours. Once the sun goes down, everyone trades their bathing suits for a party attire and head to the night clubs witch stretch all over the western side of the town. So if you haven't put Saranda, in your bucket list for the places to visit yet now is the time to. Saranda and its wonders welcome you in a world of tradition and development. Prepare your self for a different type of vacation, maybe not perfect but a very interesting one, hopefully one of the best ones. - My first training course as a tour guide was in 2008 and I got my first guiding certificate from USAID. A second one in 2011 from the Albanian Ministry of Tourism and Culture. - I got my official licence in 2017. - I'm an Italian teacher from 2005 and I have been studying English since the 6th grade at school.

Overview of your Sarande tour

The adventure starts from Saranda. How the city has changed through time from III century BC till now a days. Than we drive to the ancient city of Butrint. A UNESCO site, a must to be visited in South of Albania. In layers you can see different type of constructions that belong to different periods of time from VI century BC till 18th century. After the visit in Butrint, we will drive to Ksamil - one of the most beautiful beach areas and touristic destinations in South of Albania. We stop for a photos and a short visit. After we drive to the natural springs of Blue Eye Natural Park, a hidden place between the mountains where you can enjoy a magnificent view of transparent water. You can enjoy a nice coffee surrounded just by nature, the sound of the water and the feeling of being in magical place. On the way back to Saranda, the last stop will be at Lekursi castle. A full view of all the area around: the city, the sea, the mountains, Butrinti lake and Corfu island. Back in Saranda Port.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience on this tour. Our guide, Linda, was incredibly knowledgeable—a true wealth of information about this beautiful region and its rich, layered history. Every stop felt meaningful because of the context and stories she shared. We especially appreciated how thoughtful and accommodating Linda was with our mom. She made sure she was comfortable throughout the day while still helping us see and learn as much as possible. That level of care really meant a lot to our family. Had an absolutely fabulous time with Linda while doing Half Day Tour to the Magnificent Blue Eye. There were 4 of us and if you asked any of us which was our favorite tour/day, hands down it would be our trip with Linda. The Blue Eye is beautiful, and Linda answered all of our questions with ease. Recommend highly!!

Your Sarande tour itinerary

- Start from Saranda Port - Drive to Butrint ( depending on traffic 35-40) - Visit inside the site 1.5 - 2 h - After the visit in Butrint drive to Blue Eye Spring ( 40- 45 min drive ) - On the way to Blue Eye Spring a photo stop in Ksamil ( 10-15 min ) - Time at the Blu Eye Spring Park - 1 h - Drive at a local traditional restaurant for lunch - On the way back to Saranda, a stop at Lekursi Castle. - History and photos ( 15 -20 min ) - Drive back in the city of Saranda ( 20 min ) - Some time at the promenade ( ottional or if there will be some time before departure ) . - Back at the port 16.30.
