It is always a pleasure for me to guide you in my city. As everyone does, I also love talking about my hometown, but more walking around it and learning about its history, it is a hobby of mine. My hometown may be a small space in this giant world, but holding a big treasure inside it, which with its potentials is able to attract local and foreign tourists every year. They love it at the first sight and they always come back to enjoy the diamonds that its treasure holds. The warm Mediterranean climate allows for a hot summer and a short and temperate winter, thus becoming the ideal destination for the summer holidays. The beaches are gorgeous. Besides the beauty that the sea gives, there is a large variety of natural, historical, cultural and archaeological monuments that represent in the best way the history of my town from antiquity, being illustrated also with a lot of ancient objects representing different periods in time. Whether you are more interested in culture, history and archaeology or you are more fond of nature, wildlife and adventure, sea and swimming, I will design the perfect itinerary for you, but you are always in control of the tour. Overview of your Sarande tour

Saranda is by the far the most classically attractive point in Albania. It is a little town with a lovely horseshoe bay and a perfect climate, averaging around 290 sunny days a year. Ksamili, this hidden gem is located on the Albanian Riviera, and it sure is one of the best beach destinations in Europe. Once there, you can enjoy Paradise beaches offering white sand and crystal clear water. It is almost impossible not to like Butrint. The site is so complex, with remains dating from so many different periods covering 2500 years that everyone else is sure to find something which they will remember forever. Even if you are not interested in archaeology, you will enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, the scent of eucalyptus and other trees among the ruins. The Blue Eye is an unusual underwater spring where the clear blue water of the river bubbles forth from a stunning, more than fifty-meter-deep pool. Castle of Lekuresi which dates back to the 16th century features imposing round towers and sweeping views.

Wow, Mara is an incredible guide! She kept our group of two 20-somethings and one 80-something totally engaged all day. Deeply knowledge, friendly, patient, and flexible. She listened to what we wanted to do and offered us options when we weren't sure what we wanted to do. Her conversation in excellent English was full of interesting historical anecdotes and local lore that brought Butrint and Sarande alive. She is a wealth of knowledge spanning history, geography, politics, and more, and clearly passionate about her country. We highly, highly recommend spending a day (or more!) with Mara!

What an amazing tour with Marje ! She is understandably proud of her heritage and country, which is stunning. And the excursion is packed with highlights as described, with a luxury air conditioned minibus (for our group of 5) dropping us off at every point and there to meet us as soon as we were done. It is hard to pick one highlight but it probably has to be Burtrint, with its outstanding accumulation of thousands of years of history brought to life by Marje's excellent guiding in impeccable English. Our family of 5 agree that we couldn't recommend this trip highly enough. Book it!

Our tour guide Marjeda was the best!!! We had a great tour with a wonderful lunch at Agro Trattorie near the Blue Eye and went to the top of the fort. A spectacular day and she is full of knowledgeable information! Great time!

Your Sarande tour itinerary

•Your 6-hour tour begins when you are picked-up at your selected location (from your hotel or Saranda port, if you are visiting the town on a cruise ship, or you are a daily visitor). •Firstly, we will start with a bit of exploration of the city of Saranda, we will pass through its center, take a look at the synagogue and then head to the Butrint National Park. •There we will examine the Trionch Palace, the Baptistery, the Basilica, the City Walls and Gates, the Acropolis and lots of other spots. •After spending a couple of hours in Butrint, we will travel to our next destination, Ksamil to experience a breathtaking view of the sea, sun and islands. •Then we will head to the Blue Eye Spring. •Our last destination will be the Castle of Lekuresi, where you can take the best photos to share with all your friends and relatives being convinced that you chose the best itinerary in order to enjoy some of the best attractions that this city has to offer. So don't forget to bring your camera!
