These 120 yr old gentle redwood giants, towering up to 75 feet are complemented by the forest floor's sweeping silver tree ferns. Te Puia Geysers: Heartland of New Zealand's geothermal activity and Māori history and culture. A fierce traditional Māori welcome sets the scene for your 2hr tour. See the shy nocturnal Kiwi bird, master wood and greenstone carvers at work. A steaming volcanic landscape, see boiling mud, hot water pools, steam vents. I will meet you 10 minutes prior to your advised start time at the Tauranga Port entry/exit gates 5 minutes walk from your ship. I will be waiting there with your name sign. We visit NZ's best surf beach, pass through lush green countryside, dairy farms, kiwifruit orchards, pine forests, and the scenic lakes district, "Redwoods Tree Walk" A discovery experience like no other, walk high amongst giant 75-ft high Redwood trees and wonder at the natural beauty of our forest. "Te Puia Geysers" Get up close to erupting geysers, steam vents, boiling mud pools. Māori warriors greet us with a traditional welcome ceremony. The final stop is the fun and fascinating Zorb Balls, a uniquely Kiwi attraction. Returning to port via a different scenic route of steep gorges and spectacular countryside.
