Iorana, my name is Patricia and I will be your tour guide on Easter Island! Easter island or Rapa Nui as it is named by the locals, has such a rich Polynesian culture and history that touring with an experienced guide is a must. We pride ourselves in being part of an ancestral culture that is still alive, the sacred energy of the ancestors still being present on every corner of this island, in its people, its landscapes and the ocean. I am a certified local guide with fifteen years of experience. I lived in Australia for ten years and finished my studies there, so I am a fluent English speaker. My speciality are private tours. My training began as an assistant guide to leading archaeologists where I learned about the archaeology and anthropology of Easter island in-depth. Having been raised on the island I have the background information on oral tradition and everyday island living. I am also a mother, I love cycling and water activities so I try to get out and practice as much as possible. This island has beautiful weather so that's always a possibility. I have a fun and easygoing personality and I love my job so I try to pass on all that passion to each and every one of my clients! Come and visit Easter Island with me and experience the magic of an unforgettable destination! I am a certified local guide, authorized by the administration of the Rapa Nui National Park to work within the sacred sites. I have been a guide for just over twenty years. My tours are pre-designed for 2 people, please enquire for bigger groups.

Easter Island is located at the easternmost tip of the Polynesian triangle, and it is considered the most isolated island in the world. Yet it holds one of the most intriguing and mysterious ancient civilizations in the world. The Easter Island Wonders tour will take you through the history of the Rapa Nui people from the early settlement period and through to the development of the carving and raising of its megalithic statues called the moai. We will visit the quarry of the satues with its almost 400 statues in different stages of the carving process, including the biggest moai on the island. Another highlight visit on this tour is the restored Ahu Tongariki with its 15 moai. We finish the tour at Anakena, another archaeological site with restored moai but with the free time to also enjoy its crystal clear waters.
The tour begins when I pick you up from your hotel and we take the coast line road away from town and head for the sites of Vaihu and Akahanga where we will see Ahu or ceremonial centers with the statues in ruins. We continue to the Ahu Tongariki site, most commonly known like the fifteen statues, a restored platform. We then cross over to Rano Raraku, the quarry of the moai with approximately 400 moai in different stages of the carving process. Restrooms available at this site. The tour continues to the north coast where we visit the Ahu Te Pito Kura and finally we reach the beautiful sandy beach of Anakena, where the first Polynesian settlers would have landed their canoes. Restrooms are available here and you may want to spend some free time on the beach. We return back to the town of Hanga Roa and the hotel.
