With over 450 species gracefully inhabiting this sanctuary, South Luangwa stands as the stronghold of Zambia's avian wonders, carefully guarded by the wildlife department. As your seasoned safari guide of 15 years, my fervour for birding has only deepened over time. Can be customisable! DAY 1 I will get you settled comfortably and I will be doing a PowerPoint presentation on the birds of South Luangwa. After lunch and afternoon tea, depending on your time of arrival, will take you on your first afternoon/evening drive! DAY 2 I will take you out the entire day. Today is all about birds such as geese, ducks, herons, storks and more! I will travel quite a distance, which most guests on regular game drives never get to see, to observe, amongst other things, the Stork's nesting sites. DAY 3 On our second full day out I will take you to photograph birds that can be found around or flying over dry land. I will go over the various species present there. We will also see plenty of raptors on the hunt! DAY 4 I will be waiting for you in the lounge area and you may choose to lie in and relax in the morning or go on the last morning drive with me.
