Hi everyone! My name is Kelvin, and I will be thrilled to be your private guide during your stay in Mfuwe, South Luangwa! You will be able to see the abundance of wildlife the park showcases, including lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, wild dogs, as well as most of the 400 species of birds that call this "hidden gem" home. I have more than 14 years experience as a guide in the area and I love our African wilderness. I have always had a passion for animals, and believe that sustainable tourism can benefit you, who come from so far to see our gorgeous "backyard" where animals roam free, the people here who benefit from more jobs being created and the animals themselves as they are kept protected! I will be sharing with you everything I know and can't wait to answer the many questions you will have! I am fluent in English, reliable, fun to be around, and will put you at easy and ensure you have the most amazing time with me! Having grown up in the area, I am also excited to share with you our beautiful Zambian culture. Depending on the tour you choose you will get to experience the villages and see how our friendly and warm local people live and the crafts they make! More about the park: The stunning South Luangwa National Park, lying in the north-eastern part of Zambia, comprises some 9, 050 square kilometres of unspoilt African wilderness. It is considered the jewel of Zambia's national parks and one of the most beautiful places on Earth, and rightly so! As one of the best places in the world to see the normally elusive leopards and the incredible variety and density of animals, this national park is quite unique and perfect for whoever wants to experience the "real" Africa! 2018

Your Mfuwe tour itinerary

Can be customisable! DAY 1 I will get you settled comfortably and I will be doing a PowerPoint presentation on the birds of South Luangwa. After lunch and afternoon tea, depending on your time of arrival, will take you on your first afternoon/evening drive! DAY 2 I will take you out the entire day. Today is all about birds such as geese, ducks, herons, storks and more! I will travel quite a distance, which most guests on regular game drives never get to see, to observe, amongst other things, the Stork's nesting sites. DAY 3 On our second full day out I will take you to photograph birds that can be found around or flying over dry land. I will go over the various species present there. We will also see plenty of raptors on the hunt! DAY 4 I will be waiting for you in the lounge area and you may choose to lie in and relax in the morning or go on the last morning drive with me. I will be personally taking you to the airport. For the extended/detailed itinerary please send me a message. Customization possible
