My name is Tom, I am a private tour guide offering you tailored tours in Taiwan. I will take you to must go attractions as well as interesting places and people that would never be found on google maps. Taiwan is a beautiful island at crossroads in many ways that enables you to experience a brilliant diversity in history, geography, culture and anthropology. I've come out of soil with rich living experiences, I know Taiwan down to the earth. Before being a tour guide I have been a taxi driver, street vendor, factory worker, junk food salesman, paper money (burned in Taoist worship) shopkeeper and English tutor. Because of my living experiences, I can be a fantastic private guide showing you hidden corners and people at every turn. For example, I have accesses to an old Japanese mariner that did shoot at Allied troops in Saipan in WWII (no more, this old soldier passed away in 2021), a hearty aboriginal youth brewing cups of coffee who descends from a head-hunting clan, a manager of an outdoor traditional opera troupe who would allow my tours to be costumed and get on the stage to perform to please a local goddess on her birthday…. We had a wonderful day on this tour with Tom and we can not recommend him enough to anyone looking for an educational tour. He gave us the kind of day our group of 6 wanted at the pace we enjoyed everywhere we went, and felt he was highly knowledgeable on Kaohsiung and this fascinating country with its history and culture. Every stop felt very personalized to what we wanted to see and do, especially our fabulous and very authentic lunch at the folk market! We can not recommend Tom highly enough!

We had a great experience with our guide, Tom. He was professional, on time, and his tour van was clean and in very good condition. Even though we had a short time at port, he made sure we saw so much—really maximizing every minute. Tom knew his political and cultural topics well and explained everything in a way that was interesting and easy to follow. He was also super patient with our group, which we really appreciated. Overall, we loved what he showed us and definitely recommend him!

Six of us had a wonderful day in Kaohsiung with Tom. With his knowledge of Taiwan's history and explanations of the sites we were visiting, we learned so much! He moved us very nimbly though the city and the sites and was very happy to accommodate a request for a short lunch stop at a local place he thought we would enjoy. He made our day easy and fun.

The Driver picked us up at the cruise terminal as agreed in advance and showed us the agreed sights of his city. He was a very safe and excellent driver, he was discreet and very friendly. We can highly recommend him
