It was a wonderfully organized trip with beautiful cruising, picturesque spots and fascinating lectures on the region and history. Chris is competent, funny and intuitive. Chris was great from picking us up in Zurich all the way to dropping us off in Basel 5 days later! Chris was totally flexible with the needs of the 4 of us, 2 couples, with sleep ins when needed, milk, croissants and eggs at our doorstep and shuttling from late night dinners. Hi there, I'm Chris W, living and running private and exclusive tours from Luzern, Switzerland. My aim is simple: when you get out of the car after a tour, I want you to have the feeling that you have really experienced something special and have had the best time in a very relaxed environment with a chap, in his comfy car driving round the Swiss countryside and towns. I moved from Manchester in 2000 to Luzern and immediately fell in love with this magical place. The reason I came to Switzerland was for a job in football, my passion. At the same time, with my family, I was able to discover and explore the Lake Luzern area and over time travel further into the neighbouring Swiss regions and enjoy the stunning landscapes, culture and traditions. 6 years ago we started an airbnb business called 4 Seasons attached to where we live in Luzern and it has been a huge success. We enjoy welcoming guests from all corners of the world and try to make them feel at home and offer advice on where to go, what to do, etc. At the same time, I decided to embark on the driver/guide business and joined a local travel company. Finally, a couple years ago, I felt confident to start my own tour guiding business. I have a 6 seater (5 for multi-day tours) Mercedes V Class minivan and organise tours in most parts of Switzerland. I am also licensed to drive minivans up to 18 people and in these cases for bigger groups, I would hire a van. The main areas covered are Lake Luzern, Bernese Oberland /Bern, Rheinfalls and Zurich. I also run Multi day tours to further afield places. I like to create customized tours to suit individuals and am happy to invest time to do this for you. I know the best places to go, which will be a mix of some tourist hot spots you should see. However over time I have also discovered some little known villages, mountain trips and local attractions. I believe I can cater for all tastes and whether you want a very relaxing or adrenalin packed time, there are options to suit. This tour will take you into one of the most stunning areas of outrageous natural beauty where huge mountains, swirling glaciers, chocolate box villages, mystical waterfalls and crystal clear lakes await and as there's simply so many amazing places to see you can decide which places you want to enjoy the most. Pick and choose from picture postcard villages of Brienz, Grindelwald, and Isenfluh all individual ans giving you amazing views of the original pearly kings and queens : Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. See where Sherlock Holmes is supposed to have met his death at the Reichenbach Falls. Getting to within feet of gushing torrents of millions of gallons of water in incredibly formed gorges is more than possible, followed by trails to a couple of the 70 waterfalls in the Lauterbrunnen valley which will include a trip to Giessbach, near Brienz and the amazing and romantic Giessbach Hotel overlooking Lake Brienz.
Amazing day with Chris touring the Bernese Oberland! He structured the day and stops in a manner to suit our interests and was very patient with us (as my wife likes to take a lot of photos). Each stop was special for us and ew enjoyed hearing his stories, insights and historical overviews of the areas that we visited. We learned so much about the country and region. We also had many laughs along the way and feel like we parted good friends.
Chris does an excellent job at providing Switzerland experience in a day. He provides a lot of insight into Swiss culture and traditions with a mix of tourist hot spots and off the beaten path options. An excellent tour with a great conversationalist.

One of the best guides in Switzerland ! Chris took us on a journey of places that we had never seen before. He was very accommodating and shared so many laughs. He changed and customized the tour to our liking with no hesitation. He escorted us to a wonderful restaurant for dinner and gave additional ideas for the evening. Chris was an excellent tour guide and safe driver as he shared his passion for the stunning beauty of the Bernese Oberland. We appreciated his attention to our itinerary by Skyping with us ahead of our trip to learn our interests to best plan our day together. His friendly and thoughtful personality made our trip fun and memorable. His photography skills were appreciated as we rarely get pictures of us together. Chris certainly exceeded our expectations and we highly recommend using him as a tour guide!
• We'll travel past the turquoise coloured Lungern Lake and over the Brunig Pass and to reach the Bernese Oberland area. Once there I recommend discovering either the Aare or Rosenlaui gorges which are walking experiences on gangways, tunnels and bridges. • We'll drive onto the picturesque village of Brienz and then onto the Giessbach Falls and the lovely hotel for some lunch overlooking Lake Brienz. • We'll then make our way to Isenfluh village for more incredible views, on route to the Lauterbrunnen valley and a visit to one of several waterfalls such as the wispy Staubbach or the mountain enclosed Trummelbach falls. • If time permits, we may take a stroll around the archetypal Alpine village of Grindelwald and then journey back to your hotel for a rest!
