Two beautiful private Palaces in the heart of the city
Overview of your Seville tour
After the Discovery of America, Seville controls the trading monopoly with the New World for two Centuries. The City was then home for many wealthy and aristocratic families. As a beatiful example of this glorius past we have today the Pontius Pilate House (aren't you curious about the name?). Still in the hands of the same family, is a unique combination of Mudejar and Renaisans Stiles, its walls cover with a collection of ceramic panels from the XVIth Century and the patio decorated with Roman Sculptures. Since the 1960s has been a filming location for different movies, such as "Lawrence of Arabia" "The Kingdom of Heaven " and "Knight and Day". We walk for around 30 minutes to go to the Lebrija Palace. In this case the house of the Countess of Lebrija, a very interesting Noble Lady of the XIXth Century. She spent a fortune in excavating mosaics in Italica, the home city of the Roman Emperors Trajan and Adrian, about 3 miles away from Seville. This palace is consider to be the best paved palace in Europe
Your Seville tour itinerary
For this tour -We meet at the Pilatos Square, just by the entrance of the Palite House. -1hour visiting the house and its gardens. -It will take us around 30 minutes to go from Pilate House to the Lebrija Palace. -We walk along Aguilas Street -Get to the Alfalfa Square (right in the heart of the city, where the pedestrian shopping district starts). -We pass by the Salvador Square, always animated with its many bars and cafes. -We take the Cuna Street, one of the main Shopping Streets of the city where most of the shops are specialized in Wedding Gowns and Flamenco Dresses. -Almost at the end of the Cuna Street stands the magnificent Lebrija Palace.
