I began working as a guide in 2012 after finishing my tourism studies. When I was in school I started to learn English and then I continued practicing to improve it. I also speak Italian which I learned in northern Italy (Padova) where I made an Erasmus scholarship and there I discover the flavor of the original Spritz. During my years of experience, I have had the opportunity (and luck) to meet people from all over the world, and learn a lot about different cultures and habits. I love the history of my country and my city and being able to transmit it to visitors. I also enjoy sharing some historical gossip to make it more fun. During the high season I can walk a lot (between 3 and 10 miles per day) - to stay in shape I play indoor soccer with my friends once or twice a week. Talking about soccer by the way, in Seville, there are two soccer teams (Sevilla FC and Real Betis Balompie) both playing in Laliga. I support Real Betis :). In Spain soccer (football to us) is the most popular sport, and basketball is the second. Food and wine is another of my passions (I presume you like food too). Spain in general, but Andalusia and Seville, in particular, are ideal to enjoy the famous tapas (small portions of food, perfect if you like to taste a lot of new flavors). There are 3, 500 bars and restaurants in Seville so I am sure there is at least one that suits you. Currently, I enjoy my job like day one. For me, it is a privilege to show this city, its secrets, and world heritage places to visitors from all over the world. Sevilla- My favorite city in a Azamara Spanish Intensive tour. We had to meet Juan at a central location. Unable to get Uber or cab from Azamara port. Walk was about 40 minutes to meeting point. The Alcazar cathedral & palace were stunning. As interesting to me as Vatican. Juan was great. I also texted him day before asking him what we could see that wouldn't overlap with his tour. He sent us to Plaza de Americas. Beautiful park. Carriage ride. Peddle cabs. Another great day. Thanks Juan!

We did not have much time in Seville and we really wanted to see all the key sights within 5.5 hours. Juan was able to bring us to all the places on our list - Alcazar/Cathedral/Plaza Espana/Spanish expo sites/Las Setas + others. Really enjoyed his narrative about the history of the cathedral and the hidden messages in the Alcazar. WOW!

During this tour, we will visit: - Alcazar*. We will visit the main places inside the Alcazar, such as the old "commerce house" of Seville, the Mudejar palace, the Gothic palace, and the gardens. - Archive of the Indies. We will see it from the outside (Is between the Alcazar and the Cathedral) and I will explain to you the importance and the origin of this building. - Cathedral**. We will visit some of the most important chapels. - Giralda Tower. Is the bell tower of the Cathedral and it has a viewpoint at the top, it's included, you can go at the end of the tour. This is a suggested itinerary, but let me know if you like to see something else like the Jewish Quarter or Plaza España and I will customize it for you. * To enter the Alcazar there is a security control, knives are not allowed. **There is a dress code, but they are not very strict (they understand that Seville is very warm).
