Taste Garajonay with a Local

This is an easy circular walk through a laurel forest that is unique in the world. I will accompany you to connect with nature, listen to birds, the Bolle´s Pigeon (Columba bolii) and the white-tailed Laurel Pigeon (Columba junoniae). The national park is located in the central and highest part of the island, surrounded by agricultural areas, and you can taste some of the high-quality local products, such as wine made from local grape varieties that are unique in the world, such as Forastera Blanca or Gomera, goat cheese, palm honey, a type of syrup made from the sap of the Canary Island palm tree (Phoenix canariensis).

Suggested itinerary Meeting Point: Jardín de Las Creces car park. It could be the port in San Sebastian de La Gomera, or La Gomera airport, whichever suits you best. Circular Walk: We will take an easy circular route through the Raso de La Bruma, enjoying the laurel forest and its native birdlife. Las Creces & Local Tasting: The walk continues through Las Creces, where we will stop to taste local Gomera products such as wine from unique grape varieties, goat cheese, and palm honey. The walk will take about 2 hours Return: We will complete the route back at the starting point.
