Flavors of La Gomera: A journey through orchards and vineyards

Experience walking through a unique agricultural landscape, with terraced fields and different types of crops, including banana trees, orange trees, avocado trees, corn, and other vegetables. It is subsistence farming. I invite you to take a walk through this unique environment among terraced fields and through a neighbourhood in my hometown, Vallehermoso. We will start walking by the La Encantadora Dam and arrive at the Alisios winery to taste their wines made with the Forastera blanca variety, which is endemic to La Gomera. It is a white wine, and you will be surprised by the different types of wines that can be made with it. To accompany the wine, you can taste other local products such as cheese, cookies, and more.

Vallehermoso Square – Meeting point and starting place of our walk. La Encantadora Dam – Gentle uphill walk (approx. 2 km) through terraced fields and traditional crops. Bodegas Alisios – Winery tour and tasting of the unique Forastera Blanca wines, paired with local products such as cheese and cookies. Return by Taxi – Relaxed ride back to Vallehermoso Square. Option: For a shorter walk, we can meet directly at La Encantadora Dam if you have a car.
