Hi there. I was born and raised in Antwerp, Belgium and discovered Menorca in 2001 and decided to settle on the island a few years later. I have lived in this little paradise with a charming local girl :-) since 2005 and have never regretted it! No stress, no traffic jams, little criminality, little pollution, nice landscape and nice weather . . . what else could I wish for? But then I discovered that the 'the white and blue island' has so much more to offer! Picturesque little villages and towns with stately historic centres and scenic harbours, unique prehistoric settlements and monuments, impressive fortresses, amazing gorges and geological formations, beautiful hiking trails and stunning unspoiled beaches that will enthuse anyone interested in nature, culture, history or archeology. Menorca will surprise you with its turbulent history, varied photogenic landscape and architecture but also its surprising gastronomy. I like to travel, having visited many countries in different continents (USA, Mexico, South Africa, Egypt, Kenia, Mauritius, Spain, Italy, France, etc. ). After completing my bachelor's degree in marketing I started working for an international tour operator, working in various destinations (Ibiza, Tenerife, Costa Brava, Dominican Republic, Cuba, Austria, Sri Lanka and Sicily) until I got to know Menorca where I started working as an official tourist guide as I enjoy to entertain my guests by revealing the island's most fascinating and extraordinary sites and stories. Alvin was excellent from start to finish. It was hot, hot, hot but he never complained and did all he could to make the time we were together as comfortable as possible. He knew where to go and explained historical facts, legends, geography, architecture and culture. I would happily travel w Alvin again. He was also simply a nice man.
I had the best time in Menorca with Alvin than all the other Europe locations I visited on this trip (of course, the perfect weather helped!). Alvin is an excellent guide; was on time meeting me at the cruise terminal; clean+comfortable vehicle; provided excellent info on the history of this beautiful island; told some funny "folk tales" about Menorca (is "giantess" a real word?). Do not hesitate to book Alvin on your visit!

Alvin was waiting for us right when we got off the ship. He was extremely friendly. He quickly pointed out some historical buildings right by our cruise ship. We went on our way and along our tour he pointed out different things we were passing. We made several stops and were able to see some great places as well as get a history lesson. Alvin is extremely knowledgeable about the island of Menorca and was passionate about sharing his knowledge with us. I highly recommend him!!!!
