Hi! My name is Albert. I have a Bachelor's Degree in History and I have been working as a Licensed Tour Guide for twelve years. I am a private guide that offers exclusive tours all over Mallorca and, specially, in its capital: Palma. Since I was a kid my passion has always been History. I am very enthusiastic for Palma because I believe my city holds one of the most important monumental sets in Europe: Palma's Old Quarter. This is why I am trying really hard what I actually love in life to be seen as a true profession by everybody. I am proud to say I am making it so far. History is my life and what I do best is taking people back to the past through our wonderful heritage. If you ever thought history was a boring thing, I will be glad to prove you could not be more wrong. I encourage you to join me and you will realize how thrilling is knowing what happenned centuries ago on the very same streets we are walking by today. - University Degree in History, ratified by the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB). - National Diploma in Tourist Guiding, Information and Assistance, ratified by the Government of the Balearic Islands. - Specialization in History of the Balearic Islands, ratified by the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB). - Official Tour Guide License, ratified by the Government of the Balearic Islands. Founded by the Romans in the 2nd century B. C. , Palma is a little town on the Western Mediterranean Sea that goes unnoticed by many visitors every year. People stroll by its streets, they shop in its commercial areas and they take pictures from anything their eyes can reach. However, the true Palma stills hidden for them. Join me on this private tour and I will discover a town with more than two thousand years of history for you! Be part of a journey through time to get an insight into Palma's past. Romans, Moors, Christians, Jews, military orders, kings, monks, nuns, aristocrats, ladies, liars, murderers, conspirators, pirates, brave sailors, men of letters, philosophers, plain civilians… all of them were part of the same chess board. We will meet the most remarkable places, personalities and stories that made a difference in this town. Some say history is a boring thing. Let me prove it can be a thrilling experience!
Albert was awesome! The Palma tour was exactly what we were looking for and he was able to customize to our needs. He is extremely knowledgeable about the city and we had fantastic conversations through the couple hours we had together. I highly recommend Albert for anyone who is taking a tour in Palma.
Albert was a great guide. He spoke clearly and explained everything for us. He personalized tour showing us the old parts of the city off the beaten track. He brought the history to life . We had a great day in Mallorca with Albert. We both highly recommend him as a guide.
Albert walked me and my two kids all over and we learned so much about Palma and Mallorca’s fascinating history. It was a hot day and I was managing two kids and he made sure we had plenty of stops for food and water. My kids thought he was awesome, too! My son loves to ask questions and he and Albert engaged in a few long conversations. I highly recommend!
Albert is a most knowledge guide for touring Palma. His English was excellent and easy to understand. If you are looking for a historical tour with a friendly and knowledgeable guide, I would highly recommend Albert. This was a 5 ⭐ experience.
We spent a morning with Albert exploring Palma’s old town, and it was one of the best decisions of the trip. A Mallorca native with deep expertise in the island’s history, Albert brought the layers of the city to life — Moorish, Catalan, Spanish, and everything in between — in a way that no guidebook can. He’s engaging without being performative, and he reads his audience well: we got genuine depth, not a rehearsed script. By the end of the morning we had a real sense of Palma’s identity, both historical and contemporary. Highly recommend him to anyone who wants more than a surface-level introduction to the city.
We spent a wonderful time with Albert and left feeling that we had a better perspective about Mallorca and its very complicated history. Albert’s tour was focused on history, but he also did an excellent job of including information about food and culture. We’re still enjoying the cookies he bought for us, and his local restaurant suggestion at the end of our tour was a great experience. He also gave us great ideas about how to spend the rest of our time in Mallorca. Albert was knowledgeable, interesting, approachable and passionate about his country and that is exactly why we use Tours by Locals.
We will explore Palma's Old Town while we discover the most important monuments in the city: - the City Walls - the Almudaina - the Cathedral - the Bishop's Palace - Roman wall's ruins - Santa Eulalia, the first parish church in town - the Town Hall - El Born - the Merchant Guild's building This list is illustrative only. The subjects and sites of the tour are flexible and they can be adapted to your personal interests. *** Please, read carefully: this tour, by default, has a deep and specific content in history. If you are not so interested in history, there is not any problem at all; just let me know ahead and I will adapt the content to your preferences. *** ***Please, read carefully: the port is not a meeting point for this tour.***

Hotel in Palma or Parc de la Mar (for cruise ship passengers): you need to take the shuttle bus from the cruise ship to the city center. The shuttle drops you off next to a breakwater called Escollera. Once you get off the bus, go towards the Cathedral (you will see it from where you are). Then, you cross the highway by the pedestrian light and you will be at Parc de la Mar already. Walk to the left as you are facing the Cathedral and the lake and you will see me by the Tourist Information Office.
