Hi! My name is Albert. I have a Bachelor's Degree in History and I have been working as a Licensed Tour Guide for twelve years. I am a private guide that offers exclusive tours all over Mallorca and, specially, in its capital: Palma. Since I was a kid my passion has always been History. I am very enthusiastic for Palma because I believe my city holds one of the most important monumental sets in Europe: Palma's Old Quarter. We spent a morning with Albert exploring Palma’s old town, and it was one of the best decisions of the trip. A Mallorca native with deep expertise in the island’s history, Albert brought the layers of the city to life — Moorish, Catalan, Spanish, and everything in between — in a way that no guidebook can. He’s engaging without being performative, and he reads his audience well: we got genuine depth, not a rehearsed script. By the end of the morning we had a real sense of Palma’s identity, both historical and contemporary. Highly recommend him to anyone who wants more than a surface-level introduction to the city.
We spent a wonderful time with Albert and left feeling that we had a better perspective about Mallorca and its very complicated history. Albert’s tour was focused on history, but he also did an excellent job of including information about food and culture. We’re still enjoying the cookies he bought for us, and his local restaurant suggestion at the end of our tour was a great experience. He also gave us great ideas about how to spend the rest of our time in Mallorca. Hotel in Palma or Parc de la Mar (for cruise ship passengers): you need to take the shuttle bus from the cruise ship to the city center. The shuttle drops you off next to a breakwater called Escollera. Once you get off the bus, go towards the Cathedral (you will see it from where you are). Then, you cross the highway by the pedestrian light and you will be at Parc de la Mar already. Walk to the left as you are facing the Cathedral and the lake and you will see me by the Tourist Information Office.
