This is one of my favorite tours to introduce Mallorca to visitors. We will enjoy a ride with fantastic views of the olive groves, orange and lemon trees and the Mediterranean ocean, and explore a natural port which, due to its strategically location, always has played a major role in Mallorca's military defense and trade history. Moving into the Tramuntana mountains, a World Heritage Site since 2011, we will find some enchanting and peaceful villages full of tales about princes, artists, and writers that have found their inspiration in this beautiful romantic setting. I will also take you to some of my "secret" spots and shops that I discovered as a young cyclist. To finish our day together I will show you Palma where I was born and raised. We will explore this amazing little big "city" influenced by local traditions and the many foreigners that has "fought" over this privileged land for centuries.
Our experience in Palma was the best as Pedro for our guide. He was knowledgeable, accommodating, flexible, pleasant and professional. We learned about the history of the island while experiencing diverse locations that were off the beaten path. Having been descended from generations of Mallorquins, he was able to provide interesting insights about the culture leading to lively discussions. The vehicle and driver were also top notch. We highly recommend him.
Pedro was a fantastic tour guide. He lead a perfect tour. It really went exactly how a tour should go. We had a driver who seamlessly moved us from one site to the next. We saw a wonderful sampling of the island in a short period of time in a comfortable van.
Touring Mallorca with Pedro was like seeing the island with a life long friend. We arrived from a cruise and he met us at the ship right on time. We had discussed a plan to start with lunch, have a walking tour, then see other parts of the island. He took us to a great historic local place near old town, gave us a tutorial on local cuisine and then we got to know one another over lunch. We then had a great tour around the cathedral and other areas; he offered insight and historical perspectives on the area in a very natural and conversational way. Some guides can go on autopilot and come off robotic but Pedro is anything but that. We left the town center and drove to the mountains which was spectacular. Gorgeous and uncrowded. Seeing the towns and views from this side gave us a sense of the environmental diversity of the island. Pedro is an excellent guide and genuinely a nice person.
Pedro was a fantastic guide, went out of his way to ensure we got to try Mallorca treats. Loved the hot chocolate, potato rolls …and the oranges :) The tour & sites themselves were perfect but Pedro spent the time to make sure we understood the history behind them. He was prompt and checked in with us the night before. If you are looking for a guide in Mallorca, Pedro is your guy!
