A panoramic view of Coruña city, which is known as the city of the glass due to its typical galleries. In our panoramic visit, we will stop at the Tower of Hercules, the oldest Roman lighthouse in the world that is still in operation. Continuing along the promenade, the beaches of Riazor and Orzán! Continuing on the Atlantic Highway we will arrive at Santiago de Compostela, a holy city of pilgrimage, university, and public administration. The Romanesque Cathedral, a historical monument built eight hundred years ago. It is visited by thousands of pilgrims every year to practice traditional rituals such as the saint's embrace! Centuries of stories concentrated on its monuments, such as monasteries, convents, public buildings or the Royal Pilgrim Hospital which one is one of the oldest hotels in the world. On this visit, you will know the "Camino", a road that was born in medieval times and continues to these days. And why not to do parts of its paths to feel the spiritual essence?
Maria was amazing. We have traveled Europe extensively and our tour with her was one of the best we have ever experienced. We did a tour from Bilbao to Santiago. Her knowledge was impressive and she was very personable! She also took us to a great locals restaurant for a a wonderful lunch at a very reasonable price. All in all one of the best tours and guides we have ever had.
We had a lovely day in Santiago de Compostela with Maria. She was on time and gave us a quick look at Coruña before proceeding to Santiago where she shared a lot of the history of the town, the stunning cathedral and the pilgrimage process. We had time to visit the museum and explore the cathedral complex before getting to see the inside. We also had time to enjoy some Galician delicacies at a sidewalk cafe. The place has a truly spiritual feel and Maria was a wonderful and patient guide in seeing us through.
Maria was an absolute superstar. I had contacted her in advance because my 90 year old Mum was on a cruise with us and I felt a private guided tour of Coruna and Santiago would be less stressful and easier to manage, I also needed to be reassured that the Santiago tour would be OK in terms of walking distances etc. Maria responded promptly and helpfully and answered all my questions. Maria (and Mark the driver) were extremely helpful, knowledgeable and made sure we were looked after at every stage. We took the trip at our own pace and that was ideal, Mum was able to enjoy it without being rushed. The Cathedral was the absolute highlight and, over lunch, Maria shared stories and history that brought the Camino Way and the story of St James and the pilgrims to life at every opportunity. A perfect trip, with the perfect guide. thank you Maria, 100% recommended.

It has been my lifetime ambition to visit Santiago Compostela. The inclusion of a pick up from the cruise ship in the port of Coruna with an excellent driver was very welcome. On the way, Maria had the time to explain the history of the cathedral and its architectural features, as well as the legends of its origins. The cathedral is amazing. You could spend weeks and still find some feature you had missed. Maria took me through in a logical order giving a sense of how it all fit together. We also had time to explore the streets nearby and enjoy the charm of the city. Maria combines deep knowledge of history with warmth that makes it an extraordinary experience. Five Stars!

Wonderful tour in Santiago de compostela! Maria is very passionate about what she is doing. She was accommodating with the pace we wanted to go. The men in our group had a little trouble understanding all of what Maria presented but we very much enjoyed our day with Maria!
