Vilaflor: Walking and Wine Tasting Half-Day

Especially in spring time and automn you will be surprised to find lonely trails in the south only 30 minutes away from the tourist zones. My favourite zone is the "flower village" Vilaflor. Our first stop is here in an authentic and rural mountain village situated at 1. 500m. I will show you the famous bakery of the "Tortas Chasneras" which are sold all over th island. Taste this specialty befor er start our walk here close by the village into the Canarian pine forest. We walk along potatoe fields. In January and Feburary there will be fabulous almond blossom in pink and rose. We continue through the rural zone below Vilaflor. Our trail leads us into vineyards and fields of the famous Californian poppy flowers which where introduced in Tenerife in the 18th century. We finish with a visit and wine tasting in a local wine cellar where the owner will explain how they produce their organic wine in these heights and with climate. You will be surprised of the fruity and tasty white wine from the local bodega!

-Hotel pick up region south (from Guimar, Medano, Los Cristianos, Las Americas, Costa Adeje and Los Gigantes) and transfer to Vilaflor. -Distance from the hotels in the south 45-60 minutes. -Stop and coffee break in the village. -Hike trough the Canarian pine forest to the wine cellar in the high mountain valley round about Vilaflor. -Wine tasting & transfer back to your hotel
