Hi, I'm Juan, born and lived in Barcelona since always! Currently working in tourism and doing what I like most, travelling! Half day trip visiting the most charismatic and famous mountain of Catalonia. A private Tour to the Natural Park of Montserrat in our confortable Luxury Van, while on our way we will drive-thru the countryside of Catalonia and crossing small towns andrural areas. The Montserrat Church visit is a must in our region and all the history surrounding Black Madonna Virgin it's a fantastic myth, there are actually living more than 80 mongs in the Monastery and the views from the top of the mountain are astonishing. A full experience of a magic place that will stay in your memory and leave you amazing photos!
This a last minute booking for us and we couldn’t have been happier with the results! Juan picked us up at our hotel promptly and gave a mini tour as we left downtown . Montserrat is amazing and Juan’s knowledge and insights helped d give a better perspective. An extra treat was that on the day we went the Boys Choir did a short performance. I highly recommend Juan, for whatever tour he takes you on!
Visiting Montserrat with Juan was a great experience! Juan was cheerful and very focused on ensuring that we enjoyed the trip. He picked us up right at the hotel and drove us to/from Montserrat in a comfortable black Mercedes van. He had all the tickets pre-arranged, including for the train ride up to the monastery, and intentionally timed the visit so that we were able to hear the performance of the boys' choir. I would definitely recommend taking the short uphill hike to the cross overlook of the monastery for a better view of the site. While not something that you might spend a few hours going through a museum or learning about the location's history, the physical setting is beautiful and it is a worthwhile trip if you want to take a day break from walking throughout Barcelona city.
Juan was great. We had a fun, informative tour. He was knowledgeable and easy to be with and he was flexible in taking us for a short hike. We really enjoyed the day and highly recommend him.

While driving upon the mountain there's a very nice sightseeing on both sides of the freeway, tiny villages and family owned country houses where they produce cava. This area is called Penedes and the trip to the mountain top is around 1 hour. Once we arrive to Montserrat we will visit the Monastery, the Sanctuary, the boys choir if there´s concert and of course, Black Madonna Virgin where I will explain all the history behind. Some walking to the viewpoint is recommended to observe one of the best views of Catalonia, there's a short trail up the top or a funny steep cable car.
