Together we’ll wander through vibrant farms, sample fresh tropical fruits such as mangoes, golden apples, guavas & bananas, and meet the local growers who turn the island’s rich soil into unforgettable culinary delights. You will also have the heartwarming opportunity of planting a tree of your own, which will grow for others that come after you to contemplate. One of my favourite moments on this tour is watching guests pick a fruit straight from the tree just like I did growing up and seeing their faces light up at its pure and fresh taste. This always reminds me why I love sharing my island’s food culture with others. Join me for a journey where every bite tells a story!
Your Castries tour itinerary
-After picking you up from an agreed upon point, we'll head to the plantation. -Along our way there, we'll stop by Morne Fortune to take in panoramic vies of Castries, its harbour and surrounding mountains -On arrival to the farm we'll walk through vibrant fields, learning how fruits, vegetables and spices are cultivated. -You'll then proceed to handpick fresh tropical fruits straight from the trees, experiencing the flavours at their peak. -Afterwards, you will get to plant a fruit tree of your own and then get to watch as the fruits are made into traditional dishes and modern creations for you to sample. -We'll conclude by enjoying a traditional lunch of our island's National Dish, accompanied by a guided tasting of handcrafted local rum, paired with the farm-fresh fruits. -At last, we'll return to Castries to drop you off where I picked you up from.
