Transilvania Ultimate Tour

Famous for Dracula and other blood-sucking creatures, Transilvania has a whole lot to offer apart from myths and legends! A mix of populations settled here about a 1000 years ago, and since then, they created a universe of their own! Medieval burg towns surrounded by mountains, fortified churches, citadels built by peasants as a refuge place and of course castles, more beautiful than creepy, all this is to find for you in this breathtaking place situated in the heart of Europe! I've conceived this multi day tour using all my experience as former history teacher and now, tour guide. Though catching all the above mentioned features can be challenging, I've managed to make a very well balanced itinerary that will allow you to get a very comprehensive picture of these places. As you probably know, context is everything and this is exactly what I'm bringing you here! Lots of it!

Day 1 (8 to 10 hours) - Deva visit and tour of the citadel that guards the entrance to Transilvania - Alba Iulia tour of the XVIII th century Alba Carolina Citadel - Cluj night city tour of the old city built starting the 13th century and accomodation Day 2 (8 to 10 hours) - Turda visit at the old Salt Mine, the most spectacular underground place in Transilvania - Biertan visit at the fortified church, one of the biggest around, former cathedral for more than 300 years - Richis evening walk, accommodation in a former Saxon village). Day 3 (8 to 10 hours) - Sighișoara guided tour of the medieval town where the legend says that Dracula was born - Viscri visit of the iconic saxon village - Rupea Citadel tour of the site - Brașov (accommodation and city tour). Day 4 (8 to 10 hours) - Sinaia visit at the Peleș Castle Bran visit at the "Dracula" Castle - Sibiu accommodation. Day 5 (8 hours) Sibiu guided city tour - Hunedoara visit at the Corvin Castle, one of the most iconic castles in Transilvania
