Sighisoara Tour, A Glimpse Into the Past

Amazing tour and a great guide. Liviu was both informative and entertaining. We loved everything about the tour. We chose the places we wanted to go to and we are so happy we had Liviu as our guide. We learned so much from his recounting of history woven together with legends and stories. Liviu was right on time to pick us up and was flexible with time and stops. He was very attentive and encouraged questions. He is proud of his heritage and wanted us to have a good time, which we did of course. I certainly will recommend him to my friends should they visit Romania. With this experience, I will myself be looking for TbL in the future.

Cannot recommend this enough! We visited Viscri and Sighisoara from Brasov, both of which are very interesting and beautiful sights. Liviu was an excellent guide and made the experience the highlight of our trip to Romania! He was a very informative and friendly guide, as well as a safe driver. If we come back to Romania, we would love to reconnect and explore more places in this beautiful country with Liviu!

Liviu is the guide you want! I spent 3 days with him on various tours and he was very knowledgeable and explained the combination of facts and myths in such an entertaining way. With as much time as we were going to be together it was important that he be fun and easygoing, and he was indeed that! He was patient with going at my speed, and he knew great places to eat! (Yum, I want some more papanazi!) You won't be sorry with any tour you take with Liviu.

Liviu is an incredible fount of knowledge. He flows out ancient names and dates without hesitation. Every question we asked had extraordinary answers and stories. If we had 5 volumes of empty books, he could have filled them up during our all day tour of Sighisoara and the outlying countryside. His English and diction are perfect. His voice projects very well. And he is so personable and witty.

Liviu is the most thoughtful, most helpful guide we have encountered in our many experiences with international travel. He customized a tour specifically for us, as I was tracing family roots back to Transylvania circa 1910. He did advance research, visiting the small villages my grandparents emigrated from, and knocked on village doors to inquire of the locals in an effort to unearth information in advance of our arrival.
