Every one of my tours happens in a very relaxed but attentive way because time is precious and that is unpriced! Hi, my name is Rosa and i'll be very happy to meet you in the Algarve, the southern most province of Portugal. With long years of experience and my certification as a tour guide, I'll make sure your visit to Portugal will be unforgettable. After leaving Africa where I was born, (came as a child to Algarve)i've always felt a great need to travel. It is to me as essential as reading a book. I love history, I need to know the past to better understand the present. Those were strong enough reasons to make me embrace the path of becoming a certified guide, a career that i've been building in Algarve for 40 years! I say building because a guide is like a walking encyclopedia, and we have to be constantly updated. I love the privacy of small groups, no doubt. On my tours you'll be comfortably seated on my own van, air conditioned, fully insured, and legally allowed to be with you everywhere in the country, outside and also inside the monuments. Only official guides can do so! And besides, a van can go to many places totally inaccessable by bus. However, may you need a guide and a coach for a bigger group over 4 people and I sure will provide you other transportation from 14 seater to 55!It is only a matter of availability and budget. My tours are designed to offer private versions of any of the trips available in Portugal or can be tailored to create a unique and very personal travel experience. Sagres is part of the heritage list of UNESCO, true. However it is the most iconic part of the all Algarve's coast as well, impossible to define in words, you have to go there yourself! This tour is an interesting combination of land and sea. I will drive you to places like Lagos, a very ancient town, Ponta da Piedade and its famous beaches, Sagres and Cape St. Vincent, the most southwesternly point of Europe. Then you'll board on a boat and visit more than 12 grottoes including the famous Benagil one. Can't miss it!
Our family group of seven adults enjoyed a wonderful day with Rosa. She made sure that the day fit with our interests and pace. It was a day that was beautiful and informative, but still at a relaxed pace. Rosa is a wonderful, personable guide and we all had a day that we will never forget.

We had a great day with Rosa! She is very flexible and adapted our tour to our time constraints. She has a great knowledge of the region and we really enjoyed the stops in the Cape of St. Vincent and the boat tour around Benagil Cave. I highly recommend Rosa for a visit to the Algarve...especially if you have limited time and want a great tour of the region!
Rosa is fabulous. Explains so much history and information about the area. She quickly adapted to our needs and took us to a wonderful restaurant in Lagos. The market tour was wonderful and the algarve coast is breathtaking. We deferred our boat tour to the next day as there is so much to see and arranged reservation for us that we can Uber to tomorrow. Great call. Have been on many tours by locals and Rosa truly stands out as one of the best. Don’t miss out on this tour.
I could not recommend this tour more highly. It is just a perfect day exploring absolutely beautiful parts of the country with an engaging, super knowledgeable guide. Rosemary showed us in a day what would have taken us five to see on our own, and yet the tour wasn't rushed. We stopped wherever we wanted -- which was a lot of places -- to see stunning scenery and the tour was capped off by a stunning boat ride through the caves. This was a highlight of our trip.
Rosemary was a fantastic and knowledgeable guide. We visited multiple coastal towns and beach areas in the Algarve. All were beautiful and interesting . Rosemary provided historical information about these visits which broadened our understanding of their place in Portugal's history. One of us has moderate mobility issues and she was extremely kind and helpful in her assistance. Any traveler who books with rosemary will be exceptionally please they did so. Our morning starts with the ride to the western coast of the Algarve. Places of great historical interest such as Sagres, Praia da Mareta, Forte do Beliche and Cape St Vincent are on our visit list. Another ancient and amazing town is, no doubt, Lagos. The afternoon is dedicated to the sea with one of the most fantastic discoveries of the rocky coast from Portimão till Praia da Marinha.
