We had an enjoyable Daytour, also a repositioning, between Lisbon and Porto with Francesco. Stopped in some lovely little towns, had a great lunch, and had great views from what felt like hidden viewpoints. Francesco knew a lot of interesting history, and was happy to share! Recommended!
Francisco is the consummate professional. My wife and I had him to ourselves for two full days, one touring Sintra, Cascais and some highlights in Lisbon and a second, taking the coast route from Lisbon to Porto with stops in an ancient village within a castle complex, a beautiful fishing/seaside village and a university town. Having grown up in Portugal, he's completely knowledgeable about history, culture, Portuguese food and politics. He drives a very comfortable Mercedes and never fails with interesting insights. Plus...he's a lot of fun. Highly recommend for anyone interested in a customized, private tour experience.
Excellent tour by luxury MB van and Francisco was a very pleasant, patient and knowledgeable guide. He really went above and beyond for us! The towns of Obidos, Nazare and Aveiro were thoroughly enjoyed and he recommended restaurants, pastry shops and specialty shops in these towns for us to experience. Our third day trip with Francisco was fantastic! He picked us up in Évora and drove us to Setúbal, where we explored the vibrant market and the city’s castle. Afterward, we enjoyed a delicious lunch in Arrábida and visited a local winery, where he treated us to a lovely wine tasting. The day ended with a visit to the impressive Christ statue overlooking Lisbon from the Tagus River. Francisco took amazing photos of us, capturing a special moment with Lisbon as the backdrop. His knowledge and attention to detail made the trip unforgettable. Comfortable transport and a relaxed pace ensured a perfect day! Our second tour with Francisco was unforgettable! He drove us from Lisbon to Porto with stops in the charming town of Óbidos, where he treated me to a delicious ginjinha drink, and in Nazaré, where he shared personal childhood memories. We then continued on to Coimbra, where we explored Portugal’s oldest university and its beautiful surroundings. The final leg took us to Porto, where we visited the stunning Lello Library. Francisco's expertise and warmth made the journey feel special. The private sedan, equipped with wi-fi, leather seats, and air conditioning, ensured a comfortable and luxurious experience. After departing, it will take us about 50 minutes to reach Óbidos. Here, you’ll taste the famous Ginjinha served in a chocolate cup, stroll through the narrow streets, and perhaps pick up a few souvenirs. Next, we’ll head to Nazaré, a picturesque fishing village known for its giant waves, attracting surfers from around the world. After Nazaré, you’ll have the option to visit either Fátima, a serene Christian sanctuary, Coimbra, the location of Portugal’s oldest university or Aveiro, with it's canals and beautiful art deco architecture. Whichever you choose, there will be time to explore, grab a snack, or shop for souvenirs. Finally, we’ll take the last leg of our journey, arriving at your hotel in Porto by the evening. As this tour ends in Porto, you can extend your experience with additional days in the city, a guided tour of Porto, or even a trip to the Douro Valley. Depending on group size and availability our transports are always made on a premium sedan/estate (Mercedes E or equilavent) or a Mercedes Van. All cars are equipped with wi-fi, cooler, leather seats, multizone air conditioning and privacy windows. Altough the maximum capacity of the van is 7, we set the maximum number to 5 so that the middle seats are not taken and there's more room. If your group is larger than 5 please contact us so we can create a customized tour.
