Explore the Duke of York Islands and see the wild spinner dolphins that swim near the beach. Locals swim among them and you can also can do it, if we find them ! You will be amazed by the colours of the sea. You will also get to experience the traditional way of cooking here by cooking your own fish or crabs over open fire; learn how to husk your own coconut "Kulau" and drink its cool nourishing juice. Opposite the harbour from Duke of York Islands is Mt Tavurvur, and Mt Vulcan which destroyed Rabaul in 1994. Vulcan was a small Island that grew out of nowhere as an island. The Volcano first erupted in 1937, then in September 1994. Today it sleeps silently who knows when it will wake up again. . .
