8:00 Meeting point: Central Park of Isla Colon at Avenida 3ra. 8:15 We take a private boat from Isla Colon to Bastimentos 8:30 We arrive at the mangroves, where we will paddle to the Indigenous Community Nivida 9:30 At the community, we will be welcomed by their leader; we will gear up and continue with a hike. 10:00 After hiking and looking for the wildlife, we arrive at the bat cave and we enter. 11:00 we arrive at the community again after the Cave adventure and we start paddling back to the boat 11:30 We reach our boat by kayak, and then we return to Colon Island 11:45 Returned to Isla Colon where we started today's adventure We can always find different animals on the way to the cave; sometimes they could be really nice birds like Montezumas Oropendulas, Common Black Hawks, Red-Lored Amazons, etc. Or mammals like Neotropic raccoons or three-toed sloths. Open your eyes, and let's see what we find.
