Stavanger Tour Half Day - City sightseeing and the 3 Swords on the Rock

Welcome to Stavanger, a Viking city founded almost 900 years ago. The giant monument of the 3 Swords on the Rock, 5 km outside the city center, is a testimony of the Battle of Hafrsfjord in 875 AD. We will drive out to beaches, past Sola ruin church, in an area where the Viking chief Erling Skjalgson ruled. From Ullandhaug Tower, you will get a bird's eye view over the city and Ryfylke Fjords. I like to talk about what is special about living in Stavanger and Norway and what has formed us to be as we are. We will walk the cobblestone alleyways of "Gamle Stavanger", the old city, and admire the small wooden houses of this historical neighborhood. The gardens and colored flowers at this northern latitude will surprise you. We will also visit the harbour, where you can see the cathedral (under renovation). We will end the tour with a visit at the Oil Museum and 6ou will learn how Norway became an oil nation, and Stavanger its Oil Capital. This tour can be customized to meed your whishes.
