Hallo! After graduating from TU Delft, I decided that I did not want to work as an engineer. Instead, I now guide people around in my own country, why not... My only unfulfilled wish is to guide you around! If you want a young, knowledgeable guide to show you around our most beautiful cities, look no further. Originally, I am from Rotterdam, and I have lived in Delft for many years, so you can call me a real local in South-Holland – That’s the most interesting part of the Netherlands anyway. Currently, I am running a tour company that I started in 2023. It was more of a hobby that got out of hand. By now, I work together with a large team of young, passionate guides that can guide anywhere in Holland. With a personal interest in history, politics and art, I am fully equipped to show you around our most interesting destinations. I very much enjoy telling stories to those interested to learn more about our history, culture and society. And even though I am quite good with exact years, I do like to keep it engaging too (i.e. not boring). Curious to find out for yourself? Get in touch with me and book a tour. I am available for private tours in The Hague, Delft, Rotterdam, Gouda and Leiden. Any combination is possible, and I am very flexible to adjust the tour to your preferences. On request, we can also visit museums, churches or other attractions in and around these destinations. Tot ziens, Robin - Fluent in English, Dutch and German - In possession of a car and boat driver’s license - Flexible itineraries possible, including museum visits - Knowledge of Dutch history and culture - Passionate storyteller

Forget about Amsterdam! Join me on a tour through 3 diverse, well-connected Dutch cities. It is a unique combination that has something for everyone. The Hague is our seat of government (not our capital) and is filled with palaces, classy streets and embassies. It is our third-largest city. Delft is a small picturesque, old town full of churches and canals, known for its pottery, but there is much more! And then Rotterdam, our second-largest city, is something different altogether, as it was almost completely destroyed in the second World War. I'll show you the most interesting and prettiest parts of all three. And of course I'll tell you all about their history and significance. Having guided many people through all 3 cities, I can ensure a unique and insightful experience, tailored to your interests. Whether it’s art, architecture, or history you’re after, we can customise the tour to make it unforgettable. We can also include visits to museums, churches or other attractions.
We can start the tour in The Hague or Rotterdam, just let me know what works best. The tour involves quite some walking. When you have mobility issues, I can try to limit this. I normally use a train and a tram for the transfers during this tour, but if you prefer a car that can be arranged too. Some highlights: The Hague: Willem van Oranje statue Mauritshuis National government Prime minister’s office Lange Voorhout Several embassies Palace Kneuterdijk Palace Noordeinde Old town hall Big Church Passage Gevangenenpoort Delft: Prinsenhof Old Church Smallest museum of Delft Water Board Orphanages Smallest house of Delft Meat Hall Weighing House Town Hall Markt square New Church House of Vermeer Synagogue, Weapons Arsenal, Dutch East India Company building Rotterdam: Blaak Market Hall Coolsingel with Town Hall Laurence Church Town Hall Timmerhuis Erasmus Cubic House Old Harbour White House River Maas
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
We will be walking in all three cities. The transport between them can be done by train and tram (how most Dutch people do it), or by car if you want to.
Den Haag, Zuid-Holland, 2511, Netherlands
When we start in The Hague, I will meet you in the middle of Plein, next to the statue of William of Orange.
