My passion for guiding began long before I ever drove a traveller through the Riviera. I grew up watching my mother work as a multilingual guide at Fragonard, welcoming visitors from all over the world. Languages, stories, curiosity, they were simply part of our everyday life. Every summer, my family returned to our roots in Italy. Those memories, the sound of Italy, the food, the warmth and the slower rhythm of life, shaped my love for discovering new cultures. It also taught me something important: when you feel at home somewhere, you love to share it. Five years ago, I followed that path and became a driver-guide. Today, I introduce travellers to the hidden side of the Riviera: secret viewpoints in the mountains, quiet coastal villages and the authentic Italian towns of Ventimiglia, Dolceacqua, Bordighera and Sanremo. These are places I know by heart, and I love seeing the amazement on my guests’ faces when they discover them. Before guiding, I worked as a retail manager with my wife, meeting visitors from all over the world every day, and as passionate travellers ourselves, especially to the United States, we’ve always believed that sharing cultures brings people together. Guiding allows me to do exactly that. Every tour is an exchange, a story, a moment shared, and that’s what makes this job so meaningful to me.

On this tour, we’ll explore 2 medieval villages and the so called “city of lemons”, where a citrus-themed Carnival takes place every February. But there's more to Menton than just lemons: on its main square, there are 2 churches facing each other, and a floor mosaic of two hundred thousand pebbles taken from the Var river, that form the Coat of Arms of the Family of Monaco. Menton also borders Italy (we'll see the Italian coast from here), so it was heavily influenced by Italian culture, receiving many immigrants. My mother was born in Italy so we used to frequently visit Menton since I was little. One of the medieval villages we'll visit is Eze, referred to as an Eagle Nest due to being built on very high ground. Although originally a measure of protection from potential attacks coming from the sea, this coveted secluded nature led to it becoming a deluxe tourism destination with 5 star hotels. The other medieval village, Roquebrune, is where the only remaining Carolingian tower in France is located.
-After picking you up, we’ll go on a scenic drive to Menton along the French Riviera coast overlooking Monaco. -On arrival to Menton, we’ll explore the old town, starting with the local fresh market. -We'll then step inside a boutique where you'd enjoy a complimentary sampling of citrus-sourced beverages, honey, olives & jam. -Later, we’ll walk along the main street and up a majestic staircase to reach the square where the St Michel-Archange Basilica is located (the Basilica might be closed due to a ceremony on the day of your tour). -Next, we’ll head to Roquebrune, where we’ll see a millenary olive tree & the towering 11th century Grimaldi Castle. -Following this, we’d head to Eze, a 9th century village which, in order to access, we'd need to climb several steps of stairs where there's boutiques selling local products. -If we reached the top of the stairs, we could access the exotic plants garden. -At last, we could visit Eze's Fragonard cosmetics factory before driving back to Monaco.

We will use either a sedan in case of there being 2 or 3 passengers (E Class Mercedes), or a minivan for up to 8 travelers (Caravelle or V Class).

If you're coming on a cruise ship, I could pick you up from the pier when you disembark from the ship or after arriving on the tender at the cruise terminal. Alternatively I could pick you up from other locations such as your hotel, apartment or train station.
