Hi, my name is Álvaro. I am a Spanish tour guide that has been living in Malta for a decade. In fact, that is how I started working in tourism years ago, discovering that tour guiding was my loved job. That's why I am involved in several activities (reenachtment, trekking, activism. . . ), so I can learn a bit more about this little, but full of secrets, archipelago. And that's why I want to offer people something different. In this tour you will discover the main secrets highlights of two of the main towns in Malta. We will learn about the history of Mdina, the old capital city of Malta, is one of the best preserved medieval cities in Europe and set of several filming due to its amazing features. And we will not miss Rabat, a traditional Maltese village with all the charm, character and historical background that Malta can offer, which is a lot. But apart from all these in our walk we will learn about fortifications, architecture, traditions. . . and beautiful spots :) Let me know your preferences (cultural, photographic, artistic. . . ) in order to do this visit that offers so much according to your main interests! Your Valletta tour itinerary
We meet in Mdina, visiting most of this (quite small) medieval city, without missing a detail (from filming secrets to historic facts including just astonishing places), coming in for the main gate and crossing around the main places to leave from the secondary gate, with a stop for one of the best panoramic views of the island and stops in its main squares and buildings. From here we proceed to Rabat, where we will visit the main street and the "piazza", to continue passing by some of the most hidden but (maybe because of that) beautiful streets and nooks of this traditional Maltese village. I will suggest a stop a couple of popular places, so we can enjoy a break while enjoying some traditional food or beverages. Transportation is not included, as the whole tour can be done on foot, but I can help you with that.
