After graduating in European Studies from the University of Malta, I pursued a Masters Degree in Diplomatic Studies, earning honours in both. I embarked on a career in tourism and held the post of President of the Malta Union of Tourist Guides for six years. I was also a board member on the European Federation of Tourist Guide Associations and a board director on the Malta Tourism Authority. I am a lecturer of International Relations at the University of Malta; a Tourist Guide Trainer and Examiner at the Institute of Tourism Studies, and an active tour guide (since 1995). Discover the city of Vittoriosa on of the three old maritime cites - the first headquaters of the famous Knights in Malta. Walk in the streets of this medieval city to learn more about the Knights of Malta. At lunch time, we shall visit Malta's largest fishing village: Marsaxlokk, famous for its coloured boats with eyes - the eyes of Horus that protect fishermen from evil. In the afternoon, we shall discover the tiny inlet below the town of Zurrieq, stop and take a postcard picture of the Blue Grotto from the belvedere. Down by the sea fishermen offer twenty minute boat trips into a natural sea cave (the Blue Grotto) where one can see and admire corals, sponges and fish. (weather permitting) Lastly we stop at the Hagar Qim Archaeological park. You will go back in time 5000 years, when fertility worshippers created Malta's atmospheric temples.
