Discover why travellers acknowledged that 'Penang is the Hawaii of the East' - apart from its well known given name: The Pearl of The Orient. My name is Billy or Hock as known to some friends. I am a local born and bred Penang Baba by ancestry. I am a passionate, friendly, and patient LICENSED city Tour Guide certified by the Ministry of Tourism & Culture, Malaysia. Born, bred and grew up in George Town, Penang - (UNESCO World Heritage Site) l am as local as can be. My services include Tour Guiding Service + Transportation for tours, both Penang island and also the mainland of Penang. Besides English, I speak Bahasa Malaysia, local dialects - Hokkien, and Cantonese and some simple conversational Japanese. Apart from touring George Town Heritage Enclave (Zone) , there are other places of interest outside of George Town such as the Tropical Spice Garden, Tropical Fruit Farm, Entopia Butterfly Farm, Penang Hill, and Kek Lok Si Temple etc. which travellers can discover in Penang by using private transportation during their visit. As a Penangnite (a term used for locals in Penang), I would be very happy to take travellers to experience the hospitality of the local people, the food, the culture and the wonderful sights of Penang． Some of the travellers in my guiding assignments come from: passengers of cruise ships such as Holland Cruises, Royal Caribbean, Princess Cruises, Cunard Liners (the Queen Mary and QE II, ) and also other FIT (free individual travellers). The nationalities include Americans, Canadians, French, British, Germans, Norwegians, Brazilians, Africans, Japanese, Hong Kong Chinese, Singaporeans, Dutch and others. I can meet and greet (pick up) travellers at the port, airport, or hotel providing private transportation for the duration of their visit. When the tour ends, I will take travellers back to the cruise port, airport or hotel accordingly. Travellers have various choices to select, e. g. customize tours , half-day, or full-day tour options of Penang and its neighbouring states. For example: 1) Half-day (4 hours) tour - inclusive of transportation + driver/tour guide for Georgetown City and Heritage Zone, Penang Hawker And Local Food Tours, Penang Hill an Temple Tour etc. 2) Full-day (8 hours) tour - inclusive of transportation, driver, tour guide for Georgetown City and Heritage Zone, Round The Island Tour, Penang's House Of The Rich And Famous, Orang Utan sanctuary, Hawker and Local Street Food Tasting Tour etc. 3) Mixed multiple full-day tour ( 8 hour tour) including the Jewish and Protestant cemeteries. I am flexible with the various itineraries proposed for the travellers when they visit Penang. However, each customised tour is usually different from the other. My private tours cater to small numbers (4 and below) as well as larger groups from various countries.
