Sa Bai Dee (Hello), My name is Boualavong (Vong), I was born in Vientiane and I moved to Luang Prabang sine 1997, I was a monk in Luang Prabang for 2. 5 years, during my Education period, and then I finished my monk so I try to find the way for work, I start to work at the hotel management first from 2001 until 2004, then I step on guiding until today, I really love guiding, I can do Adventure, classic tour. . . . Luang Prabang is the first world heritage in Laos, this town full of culture, scenery, site between Mekong and the Khan Rivers, good to visit, because It's the old French colonial town. Vong led our family on 3 days of education, enrichment and fun. He introduced us to the Lao culture and rich history at the palace, took us on a bicycle tour of Luang Prabang and nearby waterfalls as well as a day trip on the Mekong. He is friendly, patient and well informed - perfect for our family of 5. We have worked with many tour guides and count Vong among the best - a true 5 star!
We really enjoyed our day with Vong. We requested a unique experience trekking in the countryside and we definitely got it; 7 miles through the jungle, mountains, fields, and villages. He arranged it well, and was very friendly, attentive and knowledgable about the area. One thing that would have improved the day was more information about local flora and fauna. Overall, a very positive experience.
Our customised itinerary for a group of 8 adults were completely satisfied with the services provided by Mr Vong. He was always willing to accommodate changes to the tour program. Vong arranged everything perfectly. Nice car, enough water. Great knowledge about religion. We spent three days with Vong, doing the city tour, elephant riding and both waterfalls. He dealt very well with our spontaneous ideas and changes of schedule. Highly recommended.
Day1: Arrival to Luang Prabang. Upon arrival meet your guide and driver then take you to the hotel for check in. Day2: sightseeing around Luang Prabang After breakfast then 9Am visit the Xiengthong temple, National Museum, Visounarat temple, Phousii mountain, Wat Mai and Ban Phnom. Return back to your hotel for rest. Day3: Luang Prabang- Pakou cave. After breakfast then catch our boat then cruise up stream on the Mekong on the way stop the whisky & silk village of Ban Xanghai then continue our cruise up to visit the Pak Ou cave then Lunch on your own near the cave. Return back to town before sunset and stop the Ban Xangkong to see the local paper making. Day4: Luang Prabang- Koungsii Waterfall. After Lunch in your own then drive about 25km to visit the koungsii waterfall on the way stop at Hmong & lowland Lao village. Day5: Luang Prabang- Departure After breakfast then free on your own until 2 hours before your flight time.
