**Please check my calendar for availability before inquiring** Greeting from the land of Mt. Fuji, Japan! My name is Moto, a nationally certificated English-speaking guide. Do you know where the famous Mt. Fuji is in Japan? Geographically Mt. Fuji is just located on the border between Shizuoka and Yamanashi. Southern part belongs in Shizuoka and Northern part in Yamanashi. Interestingly the feature of Mt. Fuji is completely different as for view and attractions from two states. From Shizuoka, sunlight shines on the hillside of the mountain all the year. We can see its brightly iconic spectacles combined with the ocean, tea plantation or a bullet train. Whereas, from Yamanashi, snow covers on the top half of the mountain in winter and remains until early summer. Gorgeous natural beauty with Fuji Five Lakes and Aokigahara Sea of Trees. Why did I mention such a story? Honestly I was born in Shizuoka and now live in Yamanashi! That proves I know all about Mt. Fuji and its surrounding area. Nature, culture, history, food, people. . . including local charms that guidebooks never show. I do guarantee you will be satisfied with my tour tailored as you like! Hope to hear from you soon! Ex. I have a license of mountain trekking guide. Planning from one day's short hike to overnight expedition in Mt. Fuji and Southern Alps mountains is available. Ask for details. National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter (English) Japan Mountain Guide Association Trekking Guide (Stage I) I am not a driver/guide and that transportation will be arranged and charged separately.

The Ochudo, also known as Middle Road, was a special trail for ascetic practitioners that circled Mt.Fuji at the level of the fifth station. In old times, only those who succeeded three times to the summit were allowed to walk in. The trail is adorned by beautiful flora such as Japanese larch, Rhododendron, and Lingonberry and offers a majestic view of Mt.Fuji. The trail continues to Okuniwa, as Inner Garden which used to be a lateral crater. As it is named, pine trees and volcanic rocks create artistic landscapes by all nature. Before going up to the 5th station, why don't you stop by Mt.Fuji Heritage Center? Mt.Fuji was designated as a UNESCO world cultural heritage in 2013. It is the ideal place to learn about the mountain, which makes your experience ongoing more meaningful.
