From Okayama to Naoshima island full-day Tour

Our tour to Naoshima with Hiroko K was extraordinary because of Hiroko’s special knowledge of all nuances of getting to and from Naoshima, her sharing of her love of the unique art of the island, and how and what to see in appropriate order to make use of every minute we were there! We truly appreciated that Hiroko was sensitive to the range of ages in our family group which included children ages 7-10, as well as adults and a senior. We would never have been able to enjoy the island as we did without Hiroko and hope we can ask her guidance again when we return to beautiful Japan!

Hiroko is a fabulous guide! She had me purchase tickets in advance for the museums to make sure that we could see has much as possible. Her knowledge of Naoshima made it so much fun to explore the museums and outdoor art exhibits. We were able to get around the island easily using the bus because Hiroko knew the schedule and stops. She suggested we start the day a little early so we could see the array Uno port which we really enjoyed. The ferry we expected to catch was cancelled due to heavy fog (very rare) but Hiroko was in contact with the ferry staff and island museums to assure that we could catch the next ferry and still see all the museums on the island. Hiroko is delightful to tour around with and we really enjoyed our day on Naoshima island!

Hiroko provided me with an excellent tour. She did extensive and thorough research in preparation for my visit to the town of my ancestors going out of her way to contact local resources that were able to provide a surprising amount of information previously unknown to me that resulted in my reconnecting with family members! We spent a thorougly enjoyable day on Naoshima island with Hiroko. From working with our logistics to get there, to seamlessly moving us from site to site with remarkable efficiency giving more touring time, giving us background on all we saw, I can’t recommend her highly enough (plus, she’s a lovely person)!

Hiroko is a wonderful guide. We had a very entertaining day on Naoshima Island. With Hiroko's expertise we flitted around most of the exhibits with ease. If you only have one day to visit Naoshima then a guide such as Hiroko is the best way to go.
