Overview of your Laquila tour
Echoes of old knights and courts, a magical atmosphere and a breathtaking view: Calascio castle is one of the most magical places you'll visit in Italy! I've been lucky enough to show many travellers this beautiful site, which is ranked among "the 15 most beautiful castles in the world" by National Geographic. We'll take a walk in the ancient ruins and its little church, then we'll have a delicious lunch with typical dishes. We'll visit the village of Santo Stefano di Sessanio, part of the exclusive "The most beautiful old villages of Italy" club for the afternoon. I can't wait to have you all in Abruzzo for a delightful day in the mountains together!
Your Laquila tour itinerary
- I will meet you at L'Aquila bus stop in the morning. - After a beautiful panoramic drive, we will reach Calascio Castle and visit this enchanting place built at more than 1500 meters above sea level. - We will have a delicious lunch with traditional mountain dishes. - In the afternoon, we will visit the old town of Santo Stefano di Sessanio, part of the exclusive "The most beautiful old villages of Italy" club. - We'll drive back to L'Aquila bus station late afternoon.
