The biggest island in the gulf of Naples is an emerald for its lush vegetation that starts from the top of the mountain "Epomeo" and arrives to the sea. This patch of land well represents the four basic elements: fire, land, water, and air. The island, we can say, is on fire, because has volcanic origin and its underground is still made of boiling lava. This land is perfect for cultivating vines thanks to the volcanic constitution of the soil and its climate. Water is present under and around the island. Its boiling bowels warm freshwater forming fantastic thermal springs and you can find them in the thermal parks set on the island. All around the island there is a beautiful sea with a variety of Mediterranean fishes and a marvellous seabed. Air is pure thanks to the winds and is perfumed by the flowers at the springtime and by the sea. There you can find, history, art, wellness, traditions, and local food. From these words you can't miss to visit the island and its treasuries.
Your Ischia tour itinerary
The tour starts at the port of Ischia where you meet the guide. Then by private transportation with a driver you start to visit the island. There will be several stops at the most amazing locations of the island. You will drive through the 6 municipalities. Each of them is represented by an historical or natural symbol. In "Ischia Porto" you find the marvellous Aragonese Castle which is built on an islet. At "Forio" you see the beautiful white church of the Virgin Mary situated overlooking the sea. You will recognize the council of "Lacco Ameno" by the stone in the sea with a mushroom shape. At "Casamicciola" you can find the miraculous spring waters. Then you drive up the highest councils which are "Barano" and "Serrara Fontana". The first has the longest beach of the island: "I Maronti" and in the second there is the beautiful Saint Angel peninsula. At lunch time you will stop in a typical restaurant. After lunch you will have free time and the tour fishes at the port of Ischia.
