I was born and raised on the seaside, but was soon enthralled by the mountains. I have traveled, hiked, climbed, skied, cycled all over Italy (and beyond) most of my life. . . until one day I decided I wanted to turn my passion into a profession, and went through a long and difficult process to be certified as a hiking guide! I am a fully qualified hiking guide (International Mountain Leader), as well as a licensed tour leader. I offer a variety of guided walks and hikes, mostly in the Alps. I particularly like the Aosta Valley mountains, which are within easy reach of the cities of Northern Italy, by either car or public transport. This is a fantastic areas for those who love being in the outdoors. . . and I look forward to sharing my passion and enthusiasm with all of you! Certified hiking guide (accompagnatore di media montagna) - Piedmont Region, #IT21C00004 International mountain leader (UIMLA certified) Licensed tour leader (accompagnatore turistico) - Province of Milan, #153 I am licensed as a hiking guide and a tour leader. I am not licensed as a tourist guide. This means that I can lead you on hiking trails and on any kind of tour, but cannot guide you inside museums or historical monuments.

We will go snowshoeing somewhere in the Alps (indicatively no more than an hour and a half away from Aosta, one way). The exact venue for our snowshoeing adventure depends on the weather and snow conditions on the day. NOTE: THIS ACTIVITY CAN ONLY BE OFFERED IN THE PRESENCE OF AN ADEQUATE SNOW COVER, THEREFORE IT IS INDICATIVELY AVAILABLE BETWEEN DECEMBER AND MARCH ONLY. Using snowshoes to walk on the snow you can savor the beauty of mountains and nature in wintertime, far from madding crowds. You don't have to be an 'expert' - if you can walk, you can use snowshoes! Snowshoeing is easy and fun. All you need is (of course) a pair of snowshoes, a pair of hiking poles, (all of the above will be provided by the guide) plus waterproof hiking boots (low hiking shoes or sneakers won't work!), and standard winter hiking clothes (including gloves, hat, and sunglasses). Avalanche safety sets (beacon, probe and shovel) will also be provided by the guide, if deemed necessary due to the nature of the terrain.
-The venue for the hike will be chosen by the guide a few days before the scheduled trip, depending on the weather forecast, snow conditions, and level of fitness of the participants. -In general, however, the hike will take place on a mountain in the Alps, within 1. 5 hours' drive (one way) from the city of Aosta. -Before the start of the hike, the guide will provide adequate instructions for using the snowshoes, as well as the avalanche safety set (beacon, shovel, and probe). -The duration of the hike can be adjusted in accordance with the participants' wishes, however it typically consists in a loop, with a total walking time of 4-5 hours (excluding breaks), and an elevation gain/loss between 400 and 700 meters.
