Overview of your Bali tour

Our First stop is at Batuan village to visit a Balinese house compound, here I could show you how the Balinese live "in harmony" with the law of the cosmos of Balinese Hinduism. We will visit the archaeological site of Goa Gajah or The Elephant Cave temple, a cave that was previously used by monks and hermits for praying and meditating, a temple built in the 11th Century BC. I will take you into the cave and show you why we call this temple an elephant cave temple. Along the journey, take in the breathtaking views of the rice terraces to your left and right before reaching an ancient tomb carved out of the rock face of the River. Gunung Kawi Temple is also part of a region nominated for Unesco Heritage status. Last stop, Trunyan Village "The ancient Bali Aga village", this village, inhabited by descendants of Balinese, people who predate the arrival of the Hindu Majapahit kingdom in the 16th century. Here you can witness how the village has special trees that would naturally decompose corpses.

This was a wonderful tour! Mully is a treasure! His knowledge of Bali is as extensive as is his experience of travels throughout the world. A wonderful conversationalist, he makes you very comfortable in his home in Indonesia. My wife and I enjoyed all the things he helped us experience. Silver, Batik, coffee, tea, terraced rice paddies, temples, lunch in the high volcanic areas overlooking a beautiful lake (blessedly cool at that altitude), and yes, the above ground burial practices. All this in a day!

Mully was a great guide, good English skills and a huge amount of knowledge about Bali, its history and its people. I think he must have been exhausted after 8 hours of us quizzing him on everything we saw or thought of :) It was so good having a very experienced local, with a great grasp of English, and a pile of interesting places to visit slightly off the beaten tourist track. We would not hesitate to book another trip with Mully

This was our second tour with Mully and he was flexible in altering some things listed on the tour, and changing them for activities we were more interested in. He was knowledge, interesting and gave great insight into Balinese culture. Many thanks.

Mully was knowledgeable, friendly, professional and had excellent english (surprisingly hard to find in Bali!), which made it easy and a pleasure to actually keep a conversation going. Additionally, he was very patient in answering every single one of a million questions we had. Shame we only met on our last day in Bali, because we would have surely booked more!

I spent three days with Mully on a customized itinerary. I had a great time. Sometimes guides, with the best of intent, overload you with information. Mully provided the right balance of information and simple enjoyment of the moment. He was completely flexible. I'm a big camera buff and he was always showing me the best angles for pictures. I forgot my wallet on one of our days together and he actually covered for me. A great guy and I enjoyed his company.
