Having toured with Gede earlier in the week, he adapted the tour to focus on new sites. However this, and the cruise ship timing, limited our ability to fill the day as much as I had hoped. Our day included a visit to the Monkey Forest which was timed well to see the monkeys being fed. From there we spent time at wood carving and batik villages, ultimately returning to the ship at about 1pm. Again, I appreciate the concern for traffic in Bali and ensuring I didn't miss the ship departure (at 4:30pm), but wish the day could have been longer. The tour includes a driver, in addition to Gede, and a comfortable, modern vehicle. Gede has a wide breadth of knowledge that helped provide many insights into Bali. The craft villages are guided by local staff.
