Hi, I'm Júlli – Your Icelandic Guide! Born and raised in Iceland, and somehow, after all these years of wind, rain, snow, and the occasional sunshine, I still absolutely love this place! I live in Akureyri, the unofficial capital of North Iceland (don't tell Reykjavík I said that!), but I've lived all over the country, from tiny fishing villages where everybody knows everybody's business to the busy streets of Reykjavík. Well, busy by Icelandic standards, anyway! I've been guiding travellers around Iceland for almost two decades, and I still enjoy every minute of it. Well, almost every minute. Even I have my limits when the weather gets particularly Icelandic! For me, guiding isn't just about driving people from one beautiful waterfall to another. It's about sharing stories, having a good laugh, showing you places you might otherwise miss, and giving you a proper taste of what life in Iceland is really like. My guests often tell me that travelling with me feels more like exploring Iceland with an old friend than being on an organised tour. And that's exactly how I like it. No stiff speeches, no rushing around with a stopwatch, and definitely no waving a little flag for you to follow! When I'm not out guiding, I'm usually exploring new places, checking out interesting stops, or finding better routes. There's always something new to discover in Iceland, even for someone who's spent his entire life here. Sometimes I even manage to find a road without potholes. Those are particularly exciting discoveries! Whether it's your first visit or your tenth, my aim is simple: to give you a relaxed, personal, and memorable experience, with plenty of local stories, spectacular scenery, and just enough questionable Icelandic humour to keep you entertained. And yes, I do have the paperwork! Behind all the jokes, I take your safety and comfort seriously. Here's the official stuff: Almost 20 years of guiding experience – and I still haven't lost a guest! Fully licensed Icelandic tour guide – Badge No. 1159. Certified National Park Ranger – I know a thing or two about Icelandic nature. Licensed professional driver – comfortable behind the wheel in Iceland's famously unpredictable conditions. First aid trained – with regular refresher courses. Fully licensed tour operator – authorised by the Icelandic Tourist Board. Fully licensed vehicle – approved by the Icelandic Transport Authority. So, if you're looking for a private Icelandic adventure with a local who knows the country, loves a good story, and doesn't take himself too seriously, you've come to the right place. Come along, and let's explore Iceland together. I'll take care of the driving, you enjoy the scenery, and we'll leave the weather to sort itself out. See you on the road! Júlli – Your Icelandic Guide

Come along for a day of exploring. I'll bring the stories, you bring your camera!! Our first stop is the spectacular Stuðlagil Canyon, famous for its enormous basalt columns. The rock formations look like someone spent years carefully carving them into perfect shapes. But no, it's just nature showing off again. We'll take our time exploring and enjoying the views. Next, we'll visit Rjúkandi Waterfall, a beautiful cascade tumbling down the mountainside in Jökuldalur valley to admire the scenery. On our way back to port, we'll stop at Gufufoss Waterfall. It may not be Iceland's biggest, but what it lacks in size, it makes up for in charm. Surrounded by mountains, it's a lovely spot to relax, take a few more pictures, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Finally, we'll return to port, with great memories, plenty of photos, and a few terrible jokes you'll wish you could forget. For me, a good tour isn't about rushing from one place to another. It's about enjoying the journey and the company.
East Iceland's Hidden Gems – With Júlli Stop 1 – Stuðlagil Canyon We kick off with the spectacular basalt column canyon, where Mother Nature clearly had too much time on her hands! Incredible rock formations, stunning views, and plenty of photo opportunities. Stop 2 – Rjúkandi Waterfall Next, we visit this beautiful waterfall in Jökuldalur valley. Stretch your legs, enjoy the fresh air, and admire the scenery. The waterfall is reliable; the weather, not so much! Stop 3 – Gufufoss Waterfall On our way back, we stop at charming Gufufoss. Not Iceland's biggest waterfall, but size isn't everything, or so I'm told! Stop 4 – Seyðisfjörður Village We finish back in colourful Seyðisfjörður, hopefully with fantastic photos, great memories, and a few questionable jokes. Bring your camera, dress for Icelandic weather, and leave the rest to me!!
