I'm a local guide in the Reykjavik Area, born and raised mostly in the rural parts of Iceland. I spend most of my free time with my family, fishing or hunting birds in the wilderness of Iceland. I have been guiding for about ten years along with other jobs such as a police officer, commercial fisherman, metal fabricator and many other jobs. I recently decided to devote all my time to guide travelers around my beautiful island as it's the most fun job I've ever had! I love all the tours I do but I think that chasing the Northern Lights is my favorite, it's challenging and there is no guarantee for success so the reward when I find them is addictive and intoxicating. I own a few 19 passenger minibuses and I also have a Tesla Y that I use for tours. I love the nature of Iceland and that's no wonder as the people that travel here usually come to experience that. Although Reykjavík is a nice cozy city I always feel a sense of relief driving away from it and in to the more rural parts of Iceland for the next adventure. I try to give people the experience of freedom and awe on my tours, experiencing the quiet majesty of nature and the solitude of travelling in the most sparsely populated country in Europe. I always welcome any suggestions for customized tours because it's always fun doing things a little bit differently, so if you have any ideas please contact me and I'll see if we can create your perfect tour. Start from Reykjavík and drive south to the dramatic cliffs of Reykjanestá, home to Iceland’s oldest lighthouse and sweeping ocean views. Explore the bubbling mud pools and steaming fumaroles of Gunnuhver, then walk the bridge between continents at the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, where the Eurasian and North American plates drift apart. Head to Seltún Geothermal Area for colorful hot springs and sulphur vents, then to Lake Kleifarvatn nestled between black volcanic hills. Stop at the lava-scarred Krýsuvíkurbjarg sea cliffs (seasonal), then pass through the charming coastal town of Grindavík. Optional add-ons: Hike to a volcano crater (weather and conditions permitting), or soak in the world-famous Blue Lagoon before returning to the city.
Discover Iceland’s raw volcanic heart on a guided adventure through the Reykjanes Peninsula. This otherworldly region is shaped by tectonic rifts, steaming geothermal fields, and rugged coastlines. Walk between continents at the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, feel the earth’s power at Gunnuhver hot springs, and capture stunning views at Reykjanestá cliffs and Kleifarvatn lake. The colorful mud pots of Seltún and the eerie, moonlike lava fields will leave you in awe. Optional upgrades include a hike to a volcano (if safely accessible, not always actively erupting) or a visit to the legendary Blue Lagoon for a luxurious geothermal soak. This tour is perfect for nature lovers, photographers, and anyone curious about Iceland’s powerful geological forces—all within a day’s drive of Reykjavík.
