Hi. My name is Amanda and I would be delighted to have the opportunity to guide you around the beautiful island of Guernsey. I am was born In Guernsey and have lived all my life on the island, therefore am perfectly placed to show you a true local tour. There are many family stories and visual aids that I like to share with my guests in order to enhance the experience you receive and the memories you take away. Bespoke/customized tours are a particular speciality, not everyone wants to see or do the same thing, please contact me and advise of your interests in order that we can together design an itinerary that makes the most of your time in Guernsey. Please note I am the only approved ToursByLocals guide in Guernsey (St Peter Port), and can become booked up many months in advance, particularly on Cruise Ship port visits. Overview of your St Peter Port tour
This tour allows you the complete flexibility to visit places that are of interest to you. Please contact me and we can together devise an itinerary which is perfect for your requirements. Guernsey has so many wonderful places to view, with just 6 hours you want to make sure that you are visiting the attractions that are on your bucket list. From Neolithic passage graves to Castles, Towers, and WWll fortifications there is so much history to be viewed. If you prefer, the unique Little Chapel or a short Potato Peel Pie walk can be incorporated into this tour. There are also many fantastic museums, the German Occupation Museum, Fort Grey Shipwreck Museum, and The Guernsey Tapestry are just a few, or for the energetic, climb the 99 steps to the top of Victoria Tower for the fantastic views over St Peter Port. Victor Hugo spent 15 years In Guernsey, a visit to his eccentric house can be incorporated also. I will meet you either at your hotel or at the tender pier where we will start our amazing adventure.

As a locally born tour guide, Committee member of the Guernsey Occupation Society, and volunteer for Festung Guernsey, I have a particular interest in WWll and can provide unique insight with visual aids of personal family documents from this important period of our history. My suggestions for this tour would include:- a) The Little Chapel which is a unique building made purely of china, shells, and pebbles b) The German Occupation Museum which is a private museum, an absolute must for anyone interested in WWll c) A visit to a WWll fortification situated on private land d) Hauteville House, the residence of Victor Hugo during his time in exile from France, where he wrote some of his masterpieces including Toilers of the Sea, and completed Les Misérables. The house is a work of art designed by Hugo himself e) The tour would also include a part island drive to view our amazing coastline I will return you to your hotel or the tender pier
