We had one day in Nadi and had a wonderful tour with Sydney! He met us at our hotel with a warm “Bula” greeting, and then we headed out for the day. We found him to be very informative about all things Fiji! Would definitely recommend him if you are looking to take in the sights and experiences of Nadi.
We found Sid for a day tour via Tours by locals, and boy, did he DELIVER!! Sid has intimate knowledge of the island, including its history, demographics, economics, and geography. During the tour, we not only learned about Fiji but also about Sid’s life – he is a personable and sincere individual who loves his wife and kids. He has traveled extensively in the Pacific, and his cultural awareness extends well beyond the Island of Fiji, making him easy to converse with. We visited many local highlights, including a Fiji Village, botanical gardens, a Hindu Temple undergoing refurbishment, lunch, and a WWII gun site off the beaten path. We also squeezed in a visit to an outdoor market. As promised, Sydney dropped us off at the airport right on time, but not before asking a local police officer to take our group photo!! Great tour and adaptable to changing the itinerary on the fly based on level of exhaustion from a 13 hour red eye landing at 5 AM. Very knowledgeable and guided us from the airport around Fiji and dropped off at our hotel. Thank you Sidney for a great tour.
