Overview of your Cairo tour
Have you ever heard about that there is such a thing as a STUPID PYRAMID? lol. Believe it or not, this is what the locals called it because of its shape! In this tour we will explore together the pyramids of different and unique shapes in Sakkara and Dahsur and I'll make sure that you travel into the past to learn all about the ancient Egyptians habits and the mythical life through the scenes depicted on the walls of the tombs in Sakkara. We will also visit the location of Egypt's oldest Capital "MEMPHIS" thanks to Memphis open air museum that has collected its remains. To finish it all, we'll try the special Egyptian bread "AISH" freshly baked before your eyes and served in your lunch.
Your Cairo tour itinerary
Start at 8 AM from your hotel or where you stay in Cairo and off to visit: Dahsur where you will see the bent Pyramid, the first attempt by the ancient Egyptians to build the True pyramid. Then we will stop at the RED PYRAMID built by the ancient Egyptian King Senfru and figure out why it's called RED PYRAMID . After visiting Dahsur we will take the car for a short ride to Memphis Museum, in this museum you will see the Colossal laying Statue King Ramses II, the Alabaster sphinx of Memphis and many other interesting monuments tell a lot about this mysterious ancient Capital of Egypt. We will end the tour in Sakkara where we will visit the oldest pyramid built in Egypt (the steps pyramid) beside a selection of the ancient Egyptian tombs. At the end of the tour we will stop for lunch at a nice local restaurant. We may also stop at the hand made carpet workshops, famous for their local traditional craft.
