I am a passionate young guide with family ties to San Cristobal, where I was raised, that date back to the early 1900s. The first of my ancestors to arrive to the island was my great-great-grandfather in 1908. I spent my childhood in San Cristobal and later moved to mainland Quito, the Ecuadorian Capital City, where I lived for around 8 years. I became a Naturalist Tour Guide In 2018 and obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Resource Management by the Universidad San Francisco de Quito (USFQ) Extension Galapagos, in 2023. As a Galapagos Naturalist Guide, my role is to interpret the islands' natural heritage and ensure it is preserved while developing tourism activities. To be aligned with sustainable practices, I am certified to lead groups of up to 16 passengers within the protected areas of Galapagos. Having a Naturalist Guide is a requirement for visitors to enter to certain places and for certain kinds of experiences such as boat tours. Thanks to my studies I became very knowledgeable about the Galapagos' natural history, and as someone who grew up here, I'm also very familiarized with its social aspects. I am very enthusiastic and passionate about my job, and I feel my main purpose is to provide the best experiences to my participants every single time.

Hi nature lover, This tour is not just a visit to Galápagos — it’s an invitation into a place that shaped a childhood, a way of seeing nature, and a lifelong bond with these islands. What makes this experience truly special is not only where we go, but how and why we experience it. These are places I return to in my free time, places that never lose their magic no matter the hour, the light, or the season. Walking here, swimming here, breathing here feels like stepping into a world where nature is still vibrant, abundant, and beautifully untouched. Fully customizable to your interests, this experience blends wildlife, scenery, and meaning into one unforgettable journey in one of the purest places on Earth.
Pick up at your accommodation, and go to the Dive Shop in a taxi. Rent the gear and the staff provide us a mesh bag to carry it. Then a taxi ride again for less than 10 min to the Interpretation Center and register or visit. There we go to the Natural and Human History Halls before we start the walk along the trail (paved and flat). In 25-30 minutes we get to Darwin Bay / Tijeretas Hill area. Where ideally, we go to the look-out at the summit of the hill first and then come down the same way to Darwin Bay to snorkel. If necessary, you can leave the mesh bag before walking up. In Darwin Bay there is a large deck to leave our belongings and then go to the water. Snorkeling takes 45 min. We get back to the trail and walk to see other nice look-outs, and eventually visit Carola Beach. We exit Carola by an old trail for 5-10 minutes that is not paved but is very short. The taxis will pick us up and go back to the Dive Shop. Elevation gain: 310 ft / 95 m Distance: 1.6 miles / 2.5 km
