Overview of your Varazdin tour
Varazdin is known as the 18th century former Croatian capital, the seat of many noble families, craftsmen I tradesmen. A splendor of numerous balls and theatre pieces, luxury dresses and clothes, carriages brought from Vienna were part of everyday life. Most of our palaces were built during the time of Varazdin highest prosperity. Draskovic family was the most influential and the richest one. The most beautiful and the most preserved castle in Croatia, Trakoscan and it was part of their family legacy from the 16th century. Placed on the hill like a crown, this appearance is a result of the major reconstruction in the 19th century in a romantic style. Surrounded by a pristine beauty of a lake that will enchant you, as much as the lavishly decorated interior hosting a valuable collection of original paintings, furniture and weapons. The fairytale castle dates back to the late 13th century.

During a guided tour through the castle, you will find out what kind of life they used to live, how did they spend their free time, what did they eat, their habits, what were they afraid of, what did they love, etc. - After seeing the castle, we can walk along the Trakoscan lake and enyoj the scenary. - At the end of our tour, we will return to Varazdin.
