Coffee cupping, history and rooftops

Manizales is tucked high in the Andes Mountains of Colombia; it's surrounded by coffee farms and filled with steep hills. Your ideal tour at this city would include the following: food, history, a nice view, some walking and coffee That is exactly what we are going to do! You are about to visit a city with small town vibes and simple pleasures, with an incredible background including great fires, innovative transport solutions, rugged geography, a strong Spanish influence in the culture and people fighting to do the best for their district

We will start at a place called, "Chipre", the highest neighborhood in the city, it's going to be our first stop. Mountains in sight, the history of Manizales coming to life on the backs of the Arrieros monument and a story with a burned church are the main atractions in this part of the tour. We will procede to the historical downtown in a 1, 5 miles walk, taking our time, appreciating the mountains view, passing by the "tower to heaven" and "bellas artes palace" wich is a university focused on arts, and if we are lucky there is going to be lovely sounds of cello, saxophone or any other instrument. Do not worry, now we are really close to the spot we are looking for at dowtown and that is the Bolivar Platz, in there we will be really close to the daily basis lifestyle of the people from the city, besides, three of the tallest and oldest buildings where we are going to do some coffee cupping and sightseeing after visiting the Cathedral
