Maipo Valley wine experience

This was our second day with Juan Carlos and we did not regret it. Originally, I had contracted for a group tour on booking.com, but then decided to go with tours by locals instead. I am so glad I did. Our tour was customized to whatever we wanted to do in the moment and made efficient use of our time. Whereas on the group tour we would have been stuck on a 10 hour trek in a van shared with 10 other people, often not being able to hear what the guide was saying or unable to stop when and where we wanted, with Juan Carlos we could stop at any time and he even took us to a jewelry store upon request. I think the reason the group tours are 10 hrs long is need to pick up people at different locations, a time-consuming process. Also, the police had closed the road due to an impending storm, and this was easily dealt by going to plan B. Just a great time wtih Juan, one I'll never forget.

Juan Carlos is an excellent guide, informative, helpful, and well spoken. He was our guide on two tours, a city tour and a wine tour. It was truly a pleasure to have him as our guide and driver!

We very much enjoyed our tour with Juan Carlos. The Maipo valley is quite lovely, and we learned a great deal about both Santiago and Chile in general from our discussions. We even stopped at a spot where we could watch Andean Condors fly over a nearby mountain which was unexpected and thrilling. Thank you Juan Carlos!

Juan Carlos was an outstanding guide and his vehicle was spacious, very clean and comfortable, as advertised. His English was superb and his knowledge about every aspect of the country and its culture was exceptional. He accommodated some of our specific requirements easily and cheerfully. The tour of the two wineries was very enjoyable. His recommendation for a lunch spot and some of the local cuisine was perfect. We had such a great day. Thanks so much, Juan Carlos!

Juan Carlos provided prompt pickup and a very comfortable car for the 4 of us. He pointed out key things about the area as we drove to Maipo Valley. We had a full day of wine tasting in Maipo and he chose an awesome place for us to eat lunch too. Juan Carlos was very knowledgeable, spoke very good english and really took great care of us. I'd give him 6 stars if that were a choice!

This was the second part of our full day tour with Juan. The first part was in the city, which I reviewed earlier. For the afternoon he took us to the Maple Valley to do wine tasting at a vineyard. The scenery was gorgeous. The Vineyard was a treat in the entire day with Juan was both informative and enjoyable. He is an extremely experienced pleasant guide, and we recommend him very highly.
