Hello wonder-hunters and welcome to Burkina Faso! My name is Mathias and one of my most important goals in life is to make you share my love and passion for the amazing wonders hidden in Burkina Faso.
Over the past seven years, I have been fortunate enough to dive deep into the exploration of the unique landscapes, breathtaking nature, authentic culture, and inspiring history of the "Land of Upright Men". This opportunity was given to me through my work as a French teacher with dozens of short-termers and visitors from all the corners of the world, many of which happened to use me as a guide for visiting the country. I since then fell in love with all the incredible places around the capital city of Ouagadougou and now have a strong experience introducing them to travelers.
I currently work part-time as an Independent language trainer and a freelance translator and my very strong proficiency in English will spice up your experience as a tourist visiting Burkina Faso.
On a personal level, I love learning new things and traveling and I have had a chance to visit places like Phoenix and Flagstaff (Arizona), Washington D. C, New York, Indianapolis, Pennsylvania, and Charlotte in the United States and recently, Shenzhen in China. I see my work as a guide as an effective way of traveling the world and making new friends without even leaving Burkina Faso, although places like Australia, Canada, and Brazil are still the top-three on my bucket list.
I now have a very profound awareness of the culture, dos, and don'ts of many parts of the world and this makes communication smooth and easy, allowing my clients to fully enjoy their experience visiting Burkina Faso.
From exotic places to handicraft markets to wildlife reserves and to places that are even lesser-known by locals, I will make you live a one-in-a-lifetime experience exploring the heart of Burkina Faso.
